I called this law office and didn't even have the chance to explain my situation before I was hung up on, very unprofessional.

I had an falling injury from where my apartment complex never fixed my staircase. I heard great things about Chris Shelburn so thought I’d give him a try. I called and he was very polite and informed me that I definitely had a case and gave me simple directions to follow . I sent in ALL paperwork he had requested. I followed up with the city of Charlotte to have them come look at the home, and they determined it was unsafe . Submitted the form from the city to Mr. Shelburn. Here we are 1 year plus later and I haven’t heard anything else from him. Can’t even speak to the man. I call the office and the ladies that answer the phone tell me “he’s not available”, I simply ask if they could have him call me back and no call back. So what happened to everything I sent in? Is my scenario not as serious? Not too mention I had surgery on my knee prior to the falling accident. I submitted medical records and more, numerous of times. He had informed me he would be sending a letter to my apartment complex to get everything moving along, guess what??, They never received the letter. His attorney office sure did disappoint me . Needless to say, my case is just not happening now . From the headache and time that has passed and been wasted on this attorney, I don’t even have the energy to continue with another attorney. Think twice before going with Mr. Shelburn as your attorney .

I have used this law firm twice in 6 years and I have received exemplary services on both occasion. All my calls were returned and my emails answered resulting in an outcome which exceeded my expectations.

I was extremely disappointed in this attorney’s representation and would not recommend him to my dog. Chis represented another client at the same time on same case without notifying me. I found out when he wanted out at the dismissal hearing in front of the judge. He was surprised to see me at the hearing. Just one of the many unethical items he's been involved in.

After my experience with a tenant/landlord issue that spanned nearly a year, attorney Miles Levine was able to put an end to it within 2 weeks. Chris is in NO position to give legal advise on this matter. Issue is now with NC State Bar. Upon further investigating, it seems Mr. Shelburn has a history of subpar performance. My current attorney has copies of this criminal filing.

I'm very pleased with the assistance that Chris was able to provide. In December/January I was having problems with a tenant that was not making payments on time, and could no longer be reached. I contact the Shelburn Law Office, and after explaining my situation, we initiated the eviction process. Chris explained everything in detail about the process and what I could expect along the way. 1st impression of a company or anything is very important when I called in desperate need for direction on how to handle a dispute with my landlord the representative 1st response in a rather sassy attitude said well we don't do those services for free now I'm a very smart person and of course at LA office would not do something like that for free but for your 1st thing to say after me explaining my situation and wet I'm looking for is well we don't do it for free instead of well let's set up an appointment and we can talk further about it I immediately lost interest and taking my business with his law office they need to double check who they have answering the phone I'll take my services somewhere eles

He took my case immediately and it is obvious he is really concerned about his clients and is a superb attorney. I am so thankful I was able to get in touch with him when I did. My case was resolved easily and efficiently. Words can't express how grateful I am.

I called this office for some legal help, and this guy pretty much says I don't have time, then hangs up on me! Rude, disrespectful, and a joke!! You need some advice? Do not come to this guy, this guy has his head stuck up so far up his own ass, I don't think he's seen day light in years! Horrible
