It has been an honor to work with Randy Freking and Jeff Silverstein through a civil suit that filed against a previous employer.
Almost all civil cases are settled before they go to trial and we had originally hoped that would happen in this matter. Unfortunately the defendant would not consider any reasonable offers and it was necessary to go through a four-day jury trial in Dayton Ohio that we won by unanimous decision.
It is not uncommon for large companies to appeal verdicts when they lose and this happened in our case. We won the appeal supporting all aspects of the original decision.
