I found Leigh's firm through a google search, as I was interested finding the right representation that could do a handful of very specific things for me. First and foremost was making sure my kids were put first. I asked Leigh to help me fight for what was right, for what was fair to everyone to be honest with me (if I was being too stubborn or overly fair) and guide me to make sure that I made sound decisions when emotionally, I had no capacity to do so. Pam in the office is so friendly, and incredibly organized and really kept me on track when everything got overwhelming... she is a true asset to that firm! The fact is - no one wins in divorce. When each side thinks things are unfair is probably when its most fair for everyone. My ex had no interest in anyone but herself, self preservation if you will... and there are attorneys that certainly thrive on people like that ... but that attorney could also make things a lot worse for everyone in the family. I hired Leigh to ensure my kids had a voice and as a father, both my and the family was balanced and best represented... Divorce gets nasty folks, no two ways about it. This was the worst experience of my life. I had absolute trust in her and she turned on me in court..I am still trying to undo what she convinced me could eventually be modified. Leigh Joy Carson tops the list .Leigh Joy is extremely bright and is strategic in representing her clients whether initiating a case or defending one. I have opposed her in Court and also engaged her as co-counsel. In addition, I have referred clients to her when I could not represent them. I cannot recommend a lawyer more highly than to trust my own clients to her.

-----------Leigh Joy Carson has been representing me about a month. Then, it was just last Friday that she sent me an email asking me to make a payment so that she can prepare for a trial. so I made the payment Friday night. It's Monday today that she sent me another email. I thought it was a thank-you note for my payment. No. It was about that she is withdrawing from my case and suggesting me to hire a lawyer who shares her office and her paralegal. In the email, she was literally trashing my case and placing all the blame on me. I have all the proof against the points she was trying to make in her email. and Most importantly, there was no change in term of the situation between before and after she entered in my case. I had explained to her everything about my case during the initial consultation. i also personally delivered a summary of my case and about two thousands of supporting documents to her office. In addition, I was diligently and promptly corresponding with her and her paralegal. They charged me $1,500 for the frequent correspondence (for just one month). and Now she's complaining there has been problem in terms of communication. I hired her based, at least in part, on this google and AVVO review. However, based on my own experience, I wish I could've rated her with "Zero" score. One star is still too much for her.

I initially believed that my child support case was in good hands, this attorney communicated well with me yet, she unexpectedly informed me that she had prior obligations, yet still took my case on and referred me to a partner/crony of hers (Alan Cohen) who was one of the WORST attorneys I have ever experienced!!! I'm still trying to figure out my Case on my own, not knowing the out come of the case, no paperwork sent to me. Nothing. I paid my fees in full. My retainer was never returned although I was in court all of maybe 30- 40mins. I feel very taken advantage of by both attorneys. I wouldn't recommend if you appreciate being kept imformed. Very bad experience for me!
