I soon found out that Rachel was a good listener and attentive. We met a few times before going to Court. In the meetings we had, Rachel put everything on the table. Never said anything to make me feel good. Everything she said about my case was based on her experience; and she pretty much predicted the outcomes.

Mrs. Upshaw is very well organized and an affective communicator. When we were before the Judge, Rachel was always ready to put up her best possible defense.

I hired Karla Miller to amend a current parenting plan. She was amazing to say the least!!!! She encouraged me to add in details to the court order that I at first did not want to, which ultimately help me with my case. Karla was very responsive and always was completely straight with me even if it was not what I wanted to hear. She is a beast and we in the end were able to get my case resolved in mediation. Choosing Rachel Upshaw to represent me in my recent divorce was the best decision I've made in years. Unfortunately, my case was lengthy and complicated. Additionally, it took place in a county just outside of Nashville.

She met with me and was kind and supportive, but was honest and straight-forward, advising both the probable and possible outcomes. She explained every avenue and presented exceptionally sound advice. She repeatedly advised me of my best interests, supported my decisions, and effectively counseled in the avenue I chose.

I paid for an advocate and an expert. I did not receive that or the individualized focus that was required. I am very disappointed with the end result that Rachel provided to me.

Update: Trying to correct a plan that should've never been created. Paid thousands of dollars and six months later having to go through hoops to rectify this current order. What a headache! Make sure you do your do diligence before signing anything. Don't allow your attorney to check emails during mediation while you really don't know what's going on. Do as much research as you can because I was not told or given enough information to make an informed decision. I learned an expensive lesson.
