The clueless paralegal they assigned me is completely incompetent and takes FOREVER to answer simple questions. They never respond in a timely manor and are rediculously difficult to get a hold of.

They honestly made this entire process far more difficult than it needs to be. It doesn’t seem like they care too much about their clients once they receive their portion of the payment. They never mention all the hidden fees involved with the whole process either.

If you are considering them for assistance with your financial troubles, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!!!

Ryan Simpson made it so easy for us! We were scared about doing bankruptcy but he helped us through everything. He even helped stop people taking money out of our paychecks sence we were going through bankruptcy. They helped us walk through everything and it make it so easy. He went above and beyond a year later when I found out my payroll department never stopped a garnishment that was being taken out of my paychecks. The reason for 4 stars is because my case is not complete. I believe by the time it is through, Ryan & staff will have surpassed 5 stars easily! That's when I had bill collectors coming at me from 10 years prior! If it weren't for Ryan's expertise and fast actions ( I had No money for a retainer), I would indeed have been homeless again! I have been a client of Ryan's for a few years now, we had some set backs with my husband losing his job and then over 300,000 in medical bills due to my child almost dying. We were drowning and did not know where to go, who to turn to, the stress was so high we were in tears many nights. We tried using one of those places that puts all your debts together and tries to make it better. We just couldn't keep up. The medical places would demand certain amounts and then we had our regular bills, it was one month pay the mortgage, the next month pay the medical debt. We were just drowning. I said to my husband, we need to look into a chapter 13 and try to reorganize our debt, we have so much medical debt we have to. He was reluctant at first, but knew it was what we needed to do or we were going to lose our house and everything we loved and worked so hard to get. So we called in to Ryan, I was nervous, scared, unsure... but he had us come in and he reassured us, he helped us.
He has a paralegal Gretchen Lowe who works for him and I cannot tell you how much of help she has been and continues to be to our family. Our case was really hard as my husband had many part time jobs, after he lost his full time job and our income was crazy and all over the place. So Gretchen and Ryan worked so hard on our case, it took a couple years and we can finally see the finishing line. I am so grateful for them, for seeing us as people, who were trying their hardest to do what is right in life. For seeing us as a family and taking care of us. Making us feel like we mattered and never making us feel stupid. It is really hard in life when you have something come up like we did with our child almost dying and you would pay anything to save them, and if we had to do it all over again, we would!!! Because no amount of money can replace your child. I am so grateful to Ryan Simpson and Gretchen Lowe for working so dang hard for our family, and continuing to do so. When you file, it is a 5 year payment plan, (at least ours is) and the Trustee does random checks for things to make sure you are still on track so we have about 4 more years of checks from the Trustee and I know Gretchen and Ryan will continue to work hard for us. Ryan and Gretchen both gave me their personal cell phone numbers too, I really do not know how many lawyers would do that.. I mean talk about going above and beyond. AND when we were short one month Ryan even paid the Trustee payment for us, until we could pay him back. He truly cares about his clients.
I am so happy I found him and Gretchen. There were others who helped us along the way too! Tanya, Ed, Todd and Craig, they were all instrumental in helping us through these past few years. It has been a trial, but we are finally seeing the light between the dark clouds emerge. Thank you Ryan, Thank you Gretchen for everything. 4/19/19, I'm updating my review after some changes with this law firm and after discussing things with Ryan. For my initial review he had some staff that didn't care for customers and Ryan's response time was long. Since joining with Jacob's and probably some staff changes things have improved.

11/14/19, I have to revise back to the lowest rating I can. STAY AWAY, find another bankruptcy attorney. Everything will be fine and dandy when setting up or if you give a bad review, but once you're on your plan or say things are going good you'll be dropped back into the toilet. Contacting or getting a response is horrendous. Most definitely don't take the advise of skipping mortgage payments to file for bankruptcy because this attorney and Lon Jenkins trustee (which also gave a one star review to) are stupid when it comes to processing. I've been trying for two years to refinance due to my divorce decree and because of the pre-petition past due amount and trustee stopping payments to the mortgage company it has screwed me over. I had to contact the trustee myself to have them fix the problem because Ryan had no idea what to do, but now have to wait another year for the past due payments to be off my history to refinance.

We are still in the process of going through a very rough chapter 13 and so far things have been explained very well to us by Ryan. This is such an embarrassing and humbling thing to go though and Ryan never once made us feel uncomfortable. The gals in the office can come across as impatient and ornery but they get the job done and that's what matters Thanks Ryan!

I did the chapter 13. Ok so I do have to admit at first there was a little bit of misunderstanding but after actually talking to Ryan everything went smooth. All of his staff are great. Ryan Thank you for everything and helping us on or way to a new life.

If I could honestly put no star I would. These guys are ridiculous with trying to get information on your case and their staff is very unprofessional. When you call the office and they don’t answer for you, pick up and transfer the call without a company greeting message, and lastly flat out pick up the phone and hang up on you. Every time I call, email or try to contact them in anyway they have zero urgency to get back to their client. I am amused to see all these 5 stars coming from other people and would love to know how the hell they got such good service. I will NEVER recommend sending anyone here EVER. As a company and especially a lawyer you should be following up with your clients to make you’re taken care of, if you can’t do that as a small business then you shouldn’t be running a business. To tell me it takes a damn month for a judge to sign paperwork is ridiculous. No judge will sit on information for a month. Zero follow up, zero communication and where in the world do you get you license to be a lawyer. I’ll be surprised if they see this and even respond. Don’t go there if you like communication.

I do not recommend his services. Get a second or third opinion. Especially if you are doing a bankrupsy. It has been a year and I'm on the end side of the ordeal. I wasn't a perfect client but that's why I hired him as lawyer to help me fix it. After Ryan and his team failed me I did hire another attorney and I have waited to see the true end of my results before critiquing this business. TALK TO OTHER ATTORNEYS, not doing that was the biggest mistake I made. that's the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. And don't let him talk you into a shortsale of your house, you have been warned.

They are crooks! If we could give them a zero, we would! They ended up being unprepared and dragged it on for months. We were making our payments like he told us to, paid $900 to file and they said they needed $1,000 because there was an illegal thing that our mortgage company did. They said they'd look into it and fight a portion of it.

We gave them our bills like they requested but the medical bills were so mixed up, they said they would get the correct amounts, but never did. They listed the same bill about 3 times on a few, but with different totals. So they were claiming more than what was really owed. So our payments to the trustee were ridiculous. THEN because he was so unprepared, it got our bankruptcy discharged. Of course SOME of the money we paid to the trustee was returned to us, AFTER the attorney took $1,400 for his "services". We think he intentionally did this just so he didn't have to do crap, and then collected innocent people's money, who are already suffering for doing nothing!

Then! He told us "well, it was my fault, so I won't charge you as much this time. You'll just have to pay $450 for the filing fee".

We were naive and trusted him again because he already had everything. HE DID THE SAME THING! His office called us at 9:00pm the night before and said they needed some documents for court the next morning at 8:00am! They were documents we couldn't get because the companies we had to get them from were already closed, and wouldn't reopen until 9:00 the next day!

We were screwed once again for another $1,400!
$900+$1,000+1,400+$450+$1,400=SCREWED!

Oh! And, the $1,000 they said they needed to look into the mortgage fraud... they did NOTHING on it. We would ask numerous times and we'd just get "oh, he's working on it, we'll get back with you". They did NOTHING and we saw nothing back!

THANKS FOR SCREWING A FAMILY OVER THAT WAS READY TO LOSE THEIR HOME, AND GIVING US HOPE THAT WE'D BE ABLE TO SAVE OUR HOME!

Our business struggled from the recession and we never recovered. We spent 5 years (after closing the business) trying to get our personal finances caught back up, and get our heads above water once again.

So, our hopes are that our mortgage company will work with us on a modification, and we'll just have to slowly do what we can to pay our thousands of medical bills little by little. I guess that's now money that could go to the bills, rather than the trustee!

DON'T USE THESE CROOKS! They are lazy and procrastinate on everything before they screw you over!

I forgot to add, they told us to start making payments on one date, only for us to find out we were supposed to start payments TWO MONTHS EARLIER!

Also, they wouldn't ever answer/respond to our calls or emails. It was ridiculous! All we would ever get were the automated reminder emails that would say "don't forget to make your payment to the trustee".

I honestly think they either paid people for good reviews, or just their family. Crooks!
