I was forced to file a lawsuit against a former employer. Andy Stavros represented me throughout the process. I found Andy professional, highly knowledgeable, an excellent communicator with significant experience in employment law. He provided accurate guidance regarding not only the process but what we could expect. I was pleased with the outcome and feel vindicated. No one really “wins” in these disputes. I met with Austin B. Egan and was very impressed.

He is efficient. I am a talker and he could have milked me for hours during this first consultation, but he kept us on task. He was assertive, but would take the time to listen to me as well. A great balance of educating, asking questions, and listening.

He is intelligent. In the brief time we met, I could tell how well-versed he is in law as well as other topics related to my issue. This, compared to two previous meetings with other firms.

He has integrity. Again, he could have milked the clock and didn't. He provided me with several options, some of which do not require his services, and he did not put any pressure on me one way or another. He made comments and asked questions that demonstrated to me that my interests were at the forefront and not his gain.

Stavros Law represented my in an action I brought against a former employer. Two people worked on my case. Adam did a lot of the preliminary work, and then Michelle took over in the final stages when Adam ran into some schedule conflicts. Michelle was particularly active and aggressive in ultimately closing a favorable deal without the need to go to trial, and I am especially appreciative of that. As part of the settlement I obtained a few perks from my former employer that I would not have gotten if the case had gone to trial. Adam also did some of the followup work to prod the other side to complete some of the commitments that were included in the agreement but that the other side was slow in completing.

One final philosophical comment: a lot of people criticize or joke about lawyers, but I will tell you this. There is just no substitute for a good attorney when you need one.

I was charged a 10,000 retainer in a divorce, told it was for a forensic accountant and they never got me one. Long story short - this law firm messed up my divorce and billed me over 30k in under 60 days in a divorce with no minor children. They hurt my case so bad I was not able to recover. Save yourself - they are liars and thieves that will destroy your life. Crooked as the devils backbone.

Michele Anderson-West hung up on me when I asked if she is afraid to take on judges and Mormon culture. I only asked about that when I asked what her question about number of employees, etc. had to do with my reasons for discrimination by the Daily Herald, a Provo, Utah-based newspaper. And prior to that, we had held a dialogue about circumstances related to the case. It was after that that I asked if she was about the money or helping people. She refused to answer the question.

I wasn't too impressed with Stavros Law. In my opinion, they lured me into their office under the pretext of taking my case and then charged me $200 to give me the exact same information they had already given me over the phone. The trip was a waste of time and money. I do have the information they asked about but I won't be using them to move forward on my case because I felt the way they dealt with me was a bit underhanded.
