Friendly, good attention, and good explanation.

Do not hire her. She didn't answer or return calls, gave me bad information based upon what opposing counsel told her, basically serving as their mouthpiece, attempted to strong arm me into accepting several unfair offers and disappeared for weeks on end. In my case, she stopped returning calls for a month in front of a hearing only calling the day before to see if she should show. When I asked if she prepared her answer was that she 'looked at the file'. whatever that means. When I told her not to bother she showed anyway, unprepared and gave me an ultimatum that she was going to go in and, for all intents and purposes, torpedo it since she wasn't ready or to release her, which I did, forcing me to handle the hearing myself.
She sends emails at all hours of the night and flatly refused to file any motions for me. She was also a disaster in court, unbelievably, praising the case that opposing counsel was presenting so loudly that the judge could hear it so you can forget about winning any hearings. She's also verbally abusive so don't question her or mention her lackluster ability or she'll launch into a tirade calling you every name in the book and also appears disheveled and disorganized which makes it look like you hired someone off the street to represent you, yet she's quite expensive. And, of course, she overbills. It's all very unprofessional. Watch out.

One of the worst lawyers Additude underhanded and very incompetent. Is bad when a father goes into court knowing more about a case then herself . Has filed paperwork wrong twice . Enables a cliet to lie and as a lawyer agrees with it.

Best Family Lawyer anyone could find. I never liked lawyers until I met her. Many lawyers treat your case like it's nothing more than another billable event for them, which sucks when your going thru domestic relations problems. Mary Beth is genuinely warm friendly and caring. She also cuts right to the chase when it comes to the realities of what can happen in a court room....which is a HUGE benefit. Because in my experience, either the lawyer is hitting the retainer for all kinds of ridiculous things (such as $80 to mail a duplicate copy of an appearance slip that was 1-already handed to you at the last hearing or 2-came in the mail the same day lawyer got his copy) OR-WORSE- feeds off the emotions of your case and promises you'll get everything you want bc the lawyer will not stop fighting (and charging) til you get it. Mary beth is NOT like that. She tells you right away what you can expect, what's worth fighting for and what isn't worth fighting for. She is so great I wish she was my opposing attorney as well! Divorce is an easy time to make bad decisions fueled by raw emotions. Mary Beth won't let that happen.
