Nice friendly professional staff

although they weren't able to personally help me, the lady behind the desk was incredibly friendly and offered other options for me and reasons as to why they couldn't assist me. she was very thoughtful in her wording and was sensitive to my issue. this has not been my experience with free legal aid. she was very patient and kind and made my process go a lot smoother. very thankful I talked to her.

Washoe County is lucky to have WLS! I had an important decision to make and not enough knowledge of the law to comfortably make it. Washoe Legal Services called me back less than 24 hours after I walked in and gave me straightforward answers that greatly influenced my decision. I am extremely grateful for the service and I wish I had more thoroughly expressed that to the legal expert I spoke to. Thanks again!

A joke. Being a victim of a crime, referred there only to be told that my case was to involved, to time sensitive and my income was to high.
I was not aware that because I worked that I was no longer a victim, and may have great expenses due to the crime.
Instead I got to hire an attorney to fight my case.

The State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General has "Free Legal Assistance To Veterans" around the state. This program is the nation's first attorney general-led, public-private partnership offering our military communities and Veterans access to pro bono civil legal services. It is there to help reduce the fact that Nevada is a staggering Number 2 in the nation for Veterans suicides.

According the State of Nevada Attorney General's website about these "Free Resource Fairs" they sponsor: "The fairs are an opportunity for Nevada active duty military, Guard and Veterans to receive access to free legal assistance and medical care. Free legal assistance will be provided by volunteer Office of Military Legal Assistance attorneys and affiliate legal partners, including Nevada Legal Services, Washoe Legal Services, the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program and Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center. Legal and medical experts will be available to discuss family law, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, public benefits, consumer law/protection, Veteran benefits, wills/powers of attorney, mental health, health care and suicide prevention. The program also provides monthly workshops dedicated to drafting free wills and powers of attorney for Nevada Veterans across the State."

I was there at a State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General's "Free Legal Assistance To Veterans". I had the flyer from the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General about this "Free Legal Assistance To Veterans". I was there for just legal advice. I was not seeking to hire a lawyer. Heather at the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General's office confirmed there are no income restrictions to attend and get free legal advice at this legal clinic for Veterans. The lawyer who I was assigned to told me they were from Washoe Legal Services. This lawyer took one look at my military service-connected disabled income the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs sends me, and flat out told me I "make too much money for their help." As a result, I wasn't helped in spite of the fact that Heather at the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General's office confirmed there are no income restrictions to attend and get free legal advice at this legal clinic for Veterans.

My grandmother received a phone call from this office 6-22-2018, a person with sundown syndrome and a memory problems, i couldn't get any information from her in regards to what it was about and i've been trying to get ahold of ANY staff member since then to no avail. I'm under the impression that this company is not real and will be turning this information into the authorities.

Don't listen to what you have to say

Definitely help the community who cant help themselves in certain legal matters. But fail to realize that goes beyond people places and things in the community. They should be able to defend us from the very community and government entities who neglect us the most denying our constitutional rights and separating families without just cause. That is what is hurting our community most. That is what is sabotaging our tomorrows.

This place is a great resource for legal help/advice. All the woman here are amazing and very helpful! Five stars and I would definitely reccomend!!

I was helped with paperwork and instructions for the next step with polite clear instructions.

I called several times over a 2 week period towards the end of October beginning of November. I couldn't get through to anyone, so I left a message each time I called to have someone call me back because I had an extemely important issue I needed help with. To this day no one has returned my call and I still can't get through to anyone!

I dont even know what they do. EVERY time I ask them for any type of help or advice they just tell me they cant help me and dont know and are in a hurry to hang up

I called last week. I got a call back almost 7 days later by a very rude Receptionist. I guess wen it comes to legal advice they really dont care. They probably figured i wouldnt post there bad service on google either.

Horrible service! The young lady who worked the front desk was extremely rude along with the supervisor. I'm walking into this place blind not knowing exactly what it's all about after being a victim of domestic violence, i had just got a tpo the day before, you would think these people would be a bit more understanding and a lot more nicer. Being yelled at and talked to like i was a child isn't somewhere i would do my business. Nor would i recommend this place to anyone.

Called in advance. Went in for help filling out legal papers. Since they were not doing forms clinic at courthouse. Told them I could not climb steep stairs because of a torn hip. They had the lady come down. Meanwhile after waiting 10 min a guy joined in waiting. She had both of us come into a conference room. Ignored I had been waiting first. She assisted him with his papers. Again ignoring me. I patiently waited, even though I was mad. Then when it came my turn she rudely told me " oh I can't help you. " never making any suggestions where I could go. I think they should shut their doors as they pick and chose who they want to help. They are rude, unhelpful and don't seem to care
