From our initial consultation- even before I selected him as my attorney, Amos Whitney offered great advice. He did everything possible to get me the divorce settlement I deserved. My ex had a horrible lawyer and Amos repeatedly went above and beyond to show him how to do things, such as re-writing the opposing sides initial document for divorce and telling the other lawyer how to file answers to the court on line. My uncle, an attorney in San Francisco, referred me to a Towson based law firm, which subsequently referred me to W&S. Amos was excellent, helping me out with a difficult case. A PO was filed against me based completely on lies. I am the sole custodian of my children and their custody was taken away from me on the spot just like this, based on false accusations. We have won the temporary hearing, the PO was denied. My children returned home to me. Amos kicked the butt of my ex during the hearing, was persistent in getting our case heard by the judge, in spite of the fact that the court was about to shut down due to the weather. One word: he is an amazing attorney, so worth the money spent!!

The firm was responsive to my needs and completed the work effectively and efficiently.

I selected Weinberg & Schwartz and Amos Whitney because they were highly recommended. Amos and Weinberg & Schwartz truly lived up the billing. My case was extraordinarily challenging. I entered as the male plaintiff against a successful female entrepreneur who retained an aggressive no-holds barred law firm. Amos kept the focus on my objectives which were to move forward with life within a year of filing for divorce.
We encountered an unfortunate and unforeseen change in the health status of the opposing party. We were also confronted with complete opposition and non-cooperation with the requirements and timelines of the divorce litigation process. We found our backs against the wall when the opposing party attempted to leverage an emergency surgery (which was successful) into an indefinite stay in the proceedings. In a hearing to contest the indefinite stay, Amos demonstrated tremendous strategic and tactical skill, and the motion to stay was denied while exposing the other side as being completely dishonest and manipulative.
Even in the face of the failure in court and exposure for having lied to the court, the opposing party held firm to a position regarded by third party mediators as unrealistic and inconsistent with Maryland law. Again, Amos rose to the occasion by devising and implementing a deposition strategy that further exposed the opposition as being untruthful and as having committed multiple potential criminal offenses against me. In the end, the strategy resulted in a settlement on the eve of trial that I could live and move forward with my life all within a year of filing for divorce. I give the highest recommendation to Amos and Weinberg & Schwartz. Amos is well respected by the court, strategic, and he works well with resource teams that include private investigators, business valuation experts, among others.

Jolie, Jacquelyn, and team at Weinberg & Schwartz were a pleasure to work with. Their experience, professionalism, and patience helped me remain confident in our outcome. We helped our son find an attorney to represent him in a divorce. Way out here in Nebraska, Ethan Dellinger was recommended. This was a painful time and process, but Ethan represented James so well and with a kind heart. Ethan moved law firms at the mid-point and we did also. Our interaction with the staff at Weinberg and Schwartz has been outstanding and we would highly recommend both Ethan and WS.

Both of the people that wrote positive reviews are employed by the law firm. lol!!!! the consensus is to stay far away from this law firm.

Do not work with these people. They will quote you an amount and then charge you three times that amount. They do not care about families. They don't care if you lose your home trying to pay them. They just want your money.

Helped a father keep his daughter

Jolie Weinberg was court appointed as a best-interest attorney for my child. She did everything, but represent her client, my child. She made quick decisions without researching what she decided and my child has been scarred for many years with the decisions she made about legal and physical custody. My daughter is a few years away from being a legal adult, at which time she plans to sue Ms. Weinberg.
