Ms. Croft is absolute quality and the best in the business. Her knowledge and expertise in all aspects of family law blew me away. Her approach is second to none, strategic, direct, and results driven. Cathy is a great legal asset to have in your corner when it comes to a family law issue. I retained her services for support during mediation and then for my divorce. Cathy and her team in the front office were amazing and very supportive throughout the entire process. Any time I had a question on how to handle a situation; Cathy was able to guide me to the appropriate answer/response. She was able to explain the potential consequences of my potential actions/reactions and provide me with comfort and understanding throughout the entire process. I used Ms. Croft for a divorce/custody case. Her work ethic was impeccable, explaining every step along the way. Many of my initial thoughts were rooted in emotions, not practicality, and with her coaching I was able to make better choices.

She took time not only with me, but in preparation of witnesses so the story remained consistent.

I was kept informed along the way, and really educated about the entire process, not just my case.

Cathy Croft was a fantastic attorney for my support/custody case. She reviewed all of the case details in-depth and described each step of the legal process as we proceeded. She responded to my concerns and questions promptly and in a way I could comprehend. Comparatively her attorney fees were very reasonable for the quality of help I received. Her personality was very easy-going and simple to get along with. Having her in my corner alleviated a lot of stress on my behalf. There was not a worry in the world when I had Cathy in the courtroom with me.

Custody case cost $100,000 with these people! They repeatedly tried to blame me for making the cost so high, when she asked for information about the case. During appeal, they pre-interviewed all the witnesses and then re-interviewed all the witnesses during the court hearting, when she knew what they were going to say anyways, because this firm handled the original case prior to the appeal. They wanted more money because they spent extra day work doing the same work twice! Ridiculous! Now in addition to the cash we gave, and the charges to credit card, there was no money to pay the "final bill". So now I'm having wage garnishments occur on a total value nearly double the "final bill". Attorneys are money thieves! I'd never deal with VA attorney again! Consider the custody case lost from the start, especially if your spouse has the money to pay his attorney because he has a better paying job! Lastly, Cathy Croft goaded us into paying in the middle by threatening to drop the case because she couldn't do the work she felt she needed to do. She threatened me and made me cry. I wish I never met her. (If you've got a hard-heart and a lot of money, feel free to use them. She won the first part of the case but lost it to the appeals judge who never had as much interaction.) Sorry, just too many negatives to outweigh the temporary positive. Therefore "hated it".
