I can't speak highly enough of Carolyn. She was forthright, professional, and caring. The two things I appreciated the most was her advice on when her services were most warranted and of value and when they weren't, therefore saving me money. Second, though she was my lawyer and was advising me on how to deal with my spouse, she was also direct and firm with me when I needed to hear it. That kept me from being surprised or having any of my own misconceptions creeping in. Given that she was my divorce attorney I hope I don't ever need her in that capacity again but if I do she will be who I go to without hesitation.

Throughout the process, Carolyn drew upon her extensive professional knowledge of family law and provided spot on legal advice, but in our situation, as I expect in most, there is the personal emotional responses that need to be addressed. Carolyn understands that the separation of a family and final divorce process has many starts and stops. She waited as my daughter worked through the struggles of the heart and the reality of being a single mother to a young child.

Throughout the process, Carolyn was responsive and patient. She was ALWAYS available to talk or email, and she answered all our questions and addressed my anxieties each time I voiced them to her. I often needed to hear her answers more than once. I knew I could contact her when I needed to.

My daughter and I have never met Carolyn face to face which may seem odd. However, in this day of internet, email, etc, I suppose that's more common than I thought. In reflection it suited our needs well. I live out of state, and we both work full time jobs, so email and late evening or weekend conversations worked for the three of us.

The divorce is done, but some issues still remain, and Carolyn has followed up with counsel on how to proceed. I hope that at some point this whole divorce experience will be history and that I will no longer need Carolyn's support and legal services.
