Mrs. Smalls represented my mother in a nasty divorce from my step dad. She is tough. No question about it. But isn't that what you want in an attorney? One that wont sugar coat and BS? She was able to point out the "hard truths" in my moms case. She also was pretty spot on with reading the Judge and what he would say. Mrs. Smalls is a no nonsense attorney but a dang good one. Only family law attorney in Winchester we will go to.

Ms. Small is a phenomenal attorney! I had another law office in Winchester do my divorce and they truly left me in a mess. Ms. Smalls was compassionate understanding and fought for me. I will only go to her in the future. Along with being a wonderful attorney, she is also ethical and fair priced! Thank you Mrs. Smalls!

Mrs. Smalls is a phenomenal attorney. She fought hard for me and my son. I got what I deserved and then some. 50 50 custody no child support. Regardless of your past no father should be kept from their child as long as they are doing the right things. Mrs. Smalls worked hard to prove I'm a good father. I now have an amazing relationship with my son and mostly thanks to her. Thanks again Mrs. Smalls

Rude, condescending, arrogant and unprofessional. Once she had our $200 cash in hand, she had absolutely no interest in talking to us. What a waste of our time and money. I felt worse when I left than I did when I walked in. She is obviously unhappy with her own life and has a chip on her shoulder towards men. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I don't even know where to begin here. If you are looking for an attorney that speaks down to you and treats you like a "stereotypical" absentee parent, this is your place. Last year with the threat of being dragged back to court, we interviewed two attorney's. This is an important step because you want to be sure you select the best attorney. The x dropped the filing, but unfortunately has hit us this year again. So this time we decided to try a local attorney. There were great reviews on Google, so we were very optimistic. We quickly learned that was a mistake. She didn't want to listen, didn't even bother to look at the original custody agreement. Used a lot of legal jargon, which we were supposed to keep up with. Actually responded to one of our questions with "as I said", told my husband to get a backbone, and was just rude. At one point I got up because I realized her office door was open and I wanted our conversation to be private. I was bluntly told "don't close the door" rather than "if you don't mind we need to keep the door open when my assistant steps away. Another time during the conversation I asked a question and she replied impatiently with "I have no idea what you just asked me". We have been through hell over the last two years and the last six months have just been worse, and full of heart ache. It didn't matter to her. I was so feed up at the end I couldn't wait to get out of her office. She made us feel so depressed and hopeless. You want someone to represent you that cares about what has happened to you (she didn't want to hear it) and that will look out for you. By the way, by stating "cares what happened to you" I don't mean to imply is willing to offer therapy and listen to you regurgitate every argument you have had with your x, you want someone who understands that not every case is the same and gives you the opportunity to share the obstacles you'll be up against in preparing for a case/trial. My spouse thought what a waste of $200. My reply was it is better to cut your losses and walk away than to throw $5,000 in attorney fees with someone who could care less about you and therefore doesn't represent your best interest. People like us, who don't have experience in the legal system, need to feel our attorney cares. It wasn't the case here.

Mrs. Smalls has handled two separate cases for me. She is by far the most fair priced attorney in Winchester. She has over 25 years of litigation experience and it shows. She is tough and really advocates for her clients. My wife's attorney was frivolously filing different motions and Mrs. Smalls stood up to him, never once blinking an eye. If you need a tough, honest, hard working attorney, Mrs. Smalls is for you. Honestly look at any attorney's reviews. There will be bad ones. Why? Because their job by its very nature is adversarial. Don't let that sway you. Go see her. You wont regret it.

Lorena Smalls is a phenomenal attorney. I was so incredibly fortunate to have her represent me in both my child custody case AND my child support case. Not only did she provide excellent counsel but she went above and beyond to minimize the impact/disruption the proceedings had on my life and my bank account. Ms. Smalls would expedite proceedings when possible and was "no-nonsense" when it came to the opposing party and counsel intentionally dragging their feet, or worse, making attempts for bogus motions and unnecessary hearings. She worked with my busy schedule and was always prompt in her responses to my questions or concerns. Ms. Smalls also did me the courtesy of applying discounted rates whenever possible as well as always explaining all of my options and things to consider each time we moved forward so that I could plan economically. She also had my ex-spouse ordered to pay a substantial portion of her fees, even though I did not think to request this myself.

My legal battle began very traumatically. I was unbelievably stressed and felt completely in despair after my initial hearing, wherein I attempted to represent myself. I consulted my brother, who is an out-of-state attorney, as well as some physicians and coworkers whom I knew had been through their own brutal legal proceedings. I surprisingly received an across-the-board referral for Ms. Lorena Smalls. I was told she was caring and down to earth, yet vicious and unrelenting in the courtroom. I can give 100% validation to all of those claims.

I am so eternally grateful for Ms. Smalls' representation. Besides the phenomenal expertise and services she provided, AND besides the double win for BOTH of my cases, she gave me PEACE OF MIND from the moment I first spoke with her. The day after my initial hearing I went from feeling completely hopeless to feeling confident and secure. That is probably my biggest praise for her; the weight that she took from my shoulders for the entire duration of the proceedings saved my sanity.

In conclusion, I will most certainly use Ms. Smalls again should I need legal counsel in the future. Of course, I have been, and will continue to give her my full endorsement and recommendation to anyone seeking legal representation. Ms. Smalls is someone you want in your corner!

*I don't have a lot of free time and therefore don't tend to write many reviews, so the fact that I'm doing so now, I hope, speaks volumes on how strongly I feel about the rating I have given her and how truly thankful I am for Ms. Smalls. I owe my courtroom victories to her completely. *Thank you so much, Lorena Smalls!

She did an excellent job for me during my divorce. I was awarded both boys and no alimony after a 23 year marriage. Highly recommend her services.

Very unprofessional person , wouldn't even call her a lawyer. I paid a fortune and she didn't help my case at all. The only thing I got from her was belittled . I would not recommend her to anyone.
