In a major metropolitan, it might not matter who you choose to represent you in traffic court. Harrisonburg is not like that. We went with Keefer Law firm because of the glowing reviews. My son is a student at JMU and had a speeding ticket. We tried to call to the Rockingham courts to reschedule and no one ever picked up the phone. We decided at the last minute to secure Keefer and, like magic, he was able to move the court date and then recommended what to do from there. I was pulled over in Harrisonburg for a reckless,95/60. I wasn’t use to the long drives as this was my first time. With unfamiliar roads I wasn’t aware of the speed as I was following other drivers. I saw the cops a bit too late and had accelerated instead of braking. I had the ticket since January and the court date wasn’t until April. The date got pushed back twice and ended up not being until June. For months I was stressing about this case. I first looked and asked around on whom can help me, but everyone said Keefer is the man if you need help on this side of town. The contact we had was simple and flexible. The staff was always very polite and helpful. All in all the case went well and it was reduced to improper driving. Super happy with the results. We highly recommend him to anyone needing help!

Attorney Robert Keefer was hired to handle a case, which was challenging from the beginning. He shared with the client what to expect. However, the case, which had a penalty of one year in prison and close to a $3,000 fine, was dismissed. We found this price to be very reasonable. Not only did Mr. Keefer return the payment to the client, he also refused to take any payment for the work he'd already done.

These guys are good! We learned the hard way that in fact it is a smart idea to have a local counsel working your case vs. a fancier law office from another city. Risking to sound like a paid advertising, Robert (Bob) Keefer did a great job on our case, reducing the impact to the point that it don't even show on our DL. Yes, I we fell into the "mail-colorfully-we know more than anybody else" trap, resulting on paying two lawyers, a financial nightmare. Bob saved us the trip, his great staff reassured us and made the process as smooth as it can possibly be. So, you have options out there, but my family can tell you, these guys are honest.

I reside out-of-state, but travel to Virginia often to visit friends and family. During my most recent trip, I was stopped on 81 by a state trooper after midnight for speeding. He clocked me at 88 in a 70mph zone. In other words, that is a class 1 misdemeanor criminal charge (up to a $2,500 fine coupled with the possibility of spending up to 12 months in prison). There was no way I was getting myself out of that one. After searching for the best local lawyers, I came across Mr. Keefer's website. Once I had read the reviews, I was confident that he was my best option. When I had spoken with Mr. Keefer via phone call, he was very composed, and didn't bother giving me a sales pitch. That reinforced my decision to sign a contract and have him represent me. After producing all of the requested documents in preparation for my court date, he had my class 1 misdemeanor charge reduced to improper control/driving (just an infraction). I was left with a $200 fine and $66 court fee. All thanks to Mr. Keefer. Would I recommend him? Absolutely.
