I have a long history with several attorneys at Hoover Penrod. Some excellent relationships formed. Can’t say enough good things about Larry Hoover RIP. I have utilized the HooverPenrod law firm for several services over the last 20 years from estate planning to closing on a house, seeking general legal advice and even my divorce. I have recommended friends in the past to particular Attorneys Within who I felt competencies could best benefit them given their situation. This past year I found myself in a business dispute on a property I was looking to purchase with a local bank (FnM Bank— It should be noted that one of their attorneys sits on the board of directors). The Penrod group represented the bank in a judgement against me in the amount of $35,000. Basically I was unable to obtain financing and requested to be released from the contract. Instead they said they wanted “teach me a lesson“ and that’s the reason they were pursuing this substantial judgement plus fees for representing the Bank which is their client. I expected to forfeit my deposit of $5,000.00. Obviously they have their right to sue and make judgements against anyone for almost any reason. I just feel people looking for principled legal representation may not find it with a couple attorneys at this law firm.

Laura Evick handled our adoption finalization and we could not be happier. She took a lot of time with us to explain the process and answer our many questions. She kept us updated along the way, working closely with us and with our adoption agency directly when necessary. She made the entire process very easy and stress free. We are very grateful for her work.
