What an amazing experience! Over the last several months Dana Peay and the staff at McNeely Stephenson made my adoption possible. Their dedication is above all. As a currently deployed service member, they truly went above and beyond. Words can not describe the gratitude and appreciation I have! I started my ordeal with another attorney who was highly recommended but i feel like I paid her to work against me really(there may be terrible council on Watt St with ties to DCS...maybe) But now Dana is representing me in a custody dispute and the EPO that resulted from it. She crushed the EPO petition in a professional manner while also putting the opposing side in their place. I haven't even had the first custody hearing yet but I can tell you that no matter the outcome I know this woman is giving it 110%. She has given me the first sigh of relief I've had in months and I couldn't be more thankful. Aside from her amazing self I had to utilize Marc for yet another accusation in this matter and he man handled that hurdle quickly. The staff is just as amazing as well, my first call to inquire about council I was told 6-8 weeks to speak to someone and I simply said I was worried about my daughter's safety and couldn't wait that long and I appreciated their time, the lady on the phone insisted I hold...I met with them 3 days later. I could not recommend these people enough. My daughter and I are forever in their debt.

They are rude. I don't get all of the good reviews.

The attorney that is supposed to be an excellent lawyer, doesn't have a backbone. She's not stern. She always allows opposing counsel to make mistakes and doesn't correct them. You have to pretty much tell her what she's supposed to do, but even then it's hit and miss. She's not used to tough family cases. She can't handle them. Her initials are D.M. Plus, it doesn't help the judge is biased. She seems to always favor women. Very disappointed in the justice system. There's a father that does above and beyond, does way more than he should. Then you have a mother that lies in court to the judge, produces false and plagiarized documents, keeps the child from the father, the mother has yet to abide by anything the judge orders and the lawyer doesn't acknowledge that.

We did estate planning. They were excellent. Made things simple. Included flow charts. Everything thoroughly explained. All documents we prepared accurately and very quickly. I would definitely call them again.

I had never been sued or in a law suite and had no Idea where to begin. A sensitive rural land dispute with property boundaries and a neighbor over old survey never recorded. I'm a 73 yr. old woman who decided to look for a patio home two yrs.
ago in order to have less yard work and no stairs to climb. Having found
what I wanted I moved forward selling my house. It took almost a year
but it finally sold. Moved forward quickly signing a “first right of refusal” as there was another person interested. I was told that her papers were not in order and to go ahead and be prepared to buy. All things were ready and I had a closing date, when my Realtor called and brought papers saying I was being sued I couldn't figure out why and knew I needed a lawyer. I knew Dana had recently received her law degree so I called her and explained as best as I could what was going on. She told me to get all the paper work I had and come down to her office. She was a blessing. Patient with someone that knew nothing about these things. She took a great deal of time explaining over and over until I understood. She called the other persons lawyer getting information that I didn't have and concluded that I had a case and would I like for her to represent me. I was so impressed with her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile, knowing this was going to be complicated and continuing to assure me that it would be alright. I, of course, said yes please. The best decision I ever made in my life. Having already received a closing date I had to be out of my house with nowhere to go. Having a wonderful family, my niece had a small apartment that her daughter lived in who was gracious enough to use the guest room so I could bring a few of my things with me. I was there for three months. Dana always kept me apprised of all action taken and I gave her as much as I could remember, as a lot was verbal and time sensitive. I had to get my loan rate extended four times
and was told it was the last time they could extend it. I was panic stricken thinking if this doesn't get resolved soon I would loose my patio home but Dana continued to encourage me it would be fine. I can be very impatient but she never lost her patience with me, most people would have. When finally I got the call saying I had my new home all I could say was “are you sure” over and over. She was as
excited as I was and kept say “yes I am positive”. What a relief.
After having my new home I decided to put it in a Trust so, of course,
I called Dana and was given extremely good advice on protecting my investment.I would tell anyone, and have, if you want a lawyer with a heart that cares about her clients and will work tirelessly for them CALL DANA. If ever anyone wants a reference call me.

I have had several experiences in the last 6 months with this group and am so amazed at the personal family feeling each time. My brother has had two episodes of needing Health POA and then full POA and these great people were able to come on an emergency basis both times to the nursing home just as my brother was being wheeled out on a gurney into the ambulance to go to the hospital. I have used McNeely Stephenson quite extensively over the past couple of years and find them to be very professional, very courteous, and an extremely good value. My first experience was setting up a trust for my family. The trust was customized for my needs in every way that I could conceive of. Next, my mother wanted a Power of Attorney for me to conduct her affairs. One of the lawyers, Dana Eberle-Peay went from Indiana to Kentucky with a Notary to my mother's apartment, since she is very feeble, and executed the documents. Later, she did the same thing for my mother's will. Not many lawyers will make house calls that I know of.
