If you think 20k is a reasonable charge for handling a simple estate that included a handful of emails, some simple court filings and two court appearances that lasted less than an hour, then hire this firm. I don't know anyone that believes that is reasonable, so my suggestion is to find a different law firm. They have law degrees but can't do math. They had to recalculate the final monetary distributions twice, and it was only proceeds from the sale of one house. I would hate to see how they handle something just one degree more complicated.......I am sure it would probably be a mess that they would charge way more for if this case is any indication of how they conduct themselves.
