I am completely disappointed with the firm and Johnny Lok himself. We paid a $250 consultation fee we’re given false hope and had the impression our case was difficult but not impossible. After we paid our $4,000 retainer fee we were contacted by Johnny Lok and told our case was impossible and simply couldn’t be done but he was going to give it a go. After what he says was 4 hours of “research” $900 later he wanted the judgment that was made. It was VERY CLEAR there was already a judgment but he wanted to see it. We’re out of state and drove 8 hours to receive this. We then received an email with “yeah, I’m sorry there isn’t anything we can do.” Which I’m sure he billed just to read the judgment and send the email. So $1200+ later and we got the answer we should’ve been given during the consult we paid for.

Mr. Lok definitely is the most helpful attorney I have ever met during the tough process of my case. He carefully listens every your concerns and opinion, and his sharp solutions represents the best benefits from your side. His legal expertise and caring attitude is the only hope for me in such dark time.

Absolutely terrible! They charged me for services that were not needed in my case. The attorney we were assigned quit 2 weeks before our court date. They assigned a new attorney to my case, I spoke to her and she said they were going to give me another attorney next week..... but my case was schedule for monday. I ended up firing the firm and finding someone else. After doing my research I was over charged by $8000. I collected my data by getting quotes from other attorneys in my area. I tried to fight to get some of my money back but was unable to because I signed a Fee agreement. In the time span that we were with Stange they had a 100% turnover at their Columbia office. Something is very wrong with this company.

My attorney, Matthew Welshon did an excellent job for me. He went through many stacks of legal documents, compiled a folder of relevant documents and researched those. After research, Matthew formulated a legal analysis of my position and options. This analysis was spot on, and from that I was able to choose a direction in which to proceed. Out of all the attorneys I have seen over the past many years, Matthew is by far the best I have retained.

I don’t even know where to begin. I was with this firm for a couple years. During my case with my ex husband, I had 4 lawyers. The lawyer assigned for my case would unexpectedly disappear- fired or just leave the firm and I never would get an answer why. I went through 4 and was assigned a 5th when I walked away. Lots of money, time and work wasted. I’d give zero stars if possible. I wouldn’t bother even inquiring about services here. When I left the firm- (it’s been over a month and a half) I didn’t receive my remaining retainer. They have billed me, however. Go anywhere but this firm.

This firm required a payment for consultation. After thinking about hiring this firm (about 3 months) they required me to pay another consultation fee before starting my case. Apparently the attorney, that consulted me, was either fired or quit. I had called several times and talked to people not even at the firm location in Columbia. They were not understanding or flexible about providing a honest service. Needless to say I didn’t hire this firm.
My experience was so bad I signed onto Google for the first time in my life, just to post this review.

Can't give them zero or negative stars. By far the worst law firm I ever had to deal with. Simple motion to modify and revision to a parenting plan is what I asked them to do. Well 6 months and 8k later still nothing filed or correct. It was so bad we had to write the parenting plan for them after 4 times of them screwing it up. The first lawyer bordered on legal malpractice. The customer care is dismal at best. It took them 60 days to rectify a billing issue. They won't return calls or emails. Lastly, I had the pleasure of firing them!!!!! But now I cannot get any of my records from them. They said it will take 90 days to get my records and to receive a check for my retainer. All I can say; if you have money to burn and don't really care if you receive good service, by all means use them. But to save you the problems, just take a bucket of money and flush it down the toilet, as it will give you better satisfaction then dealing with them.

I had a order of protection case. My attorney Dustin Birch was wonderful. Very professional very prompt with staying on top of my case. The whole thing was dismissed. I would recommend him for any issue. I could not have received better service.

Strange Law proved to be a great resource, and I am glad I was able to locate them. Dustin Birch was great to work with. Will certainly utilize Dustin's expertise in the future.

Stange Law Firm did a terrible job on my case we ended up paying 18k and getting way over charged and very little results. I would recommend finding a cheaper local attorney who knows his way around the courthome. Im sure i could have gotten the same results somewhere else for 3 grand. The case was an absolute tragedy.

My case started back in June. It's still going on, however, my divorce should be finalized next month. This is not due to the lawyers. However, since hiring the firm I have had 5 different attorneys working on my case. 2 have left, and 2 have stepped in when needed. I have yet to meet, or even speak to my newest one. Knowing Erika was working on my case the whole time and that she showed up to my court date earlier this week was great. I do believe the firm needs to find out why there has been such a high turnover rate within the company.

It goes without saying that facing divorce is a traumatic experience, and I was no exception to this life-altering event. When I was served with divorce papers I had no attorney to call nor law firm to contact, but as it turned out I was extremely lucky to have found Erika Eliason at Stange Law Firm.

At the conclusion of our introductory interview my confidence was such that I wrote a check for the initial deposit, and all responsive documents were subsequently filed in a timely manner. Ms. Eliason was always patient, considerate, and reassuring as our case progressed even though I was given to bouts of panic and doubt. I often turned to my sister --- a highly-regarded attorney with expertise in a different legal area --- for support during extreme moments of anxiety, and after informing her of the progress of my case she invariably and emphatically suggested I do whatever Ms. Eliason recommended.

Throughout the year-long process Ms. Eliason several times counseled me to take steps I thought would be futile but I followed her best legal advice. I was often taken aback with her soft voice and unflappable demeanor but always impressed with her confidence that she was threading my case through the legal maze that so confuses the general public.
