Jackie is great. I am not at liberty to say why I know this. But if you are in a tough situation and need a competent lawyer you won't go wrong here.

I had several cases with my ex-wife and I worked with two different attorneys in those cases. The two attorneys I worked with promised to look into details of my cases before I hired them (Both of those attorneys were well known ones). But, after they received the payment, they did nothing on my cases and I lost all the cases they handled.
If you have complicated cases, it is really important that the attorney you hire is willing to look into details and collect the evidences for you. For my recent cases, Jackie was the ONLY attorney who shared time, collected evidences, and fought for me. I worked with her in 2 different cases and she WON the both cases. Jackie knows her way around the court room and works very hard to get you the best outcome. She gave me my life back and I will FOREVER be thankful for the fight Jackie fought for me in my cases and I could not put a price on how much I truly feel I owe. Thank you, Jackie!

I have known Jackie Rokusek since she began work on my case in 2009. I was 17 at the time, had been arrested on serious drug charges, and was facing upwards of seven years in prison. Jackie went to bat for me in court, devoting her time and exceptional skills as a lawyer. She succeeded in reducing my sentence to under a year in jail with 18 months probation. Six months of my jail time she was able to have placed at a work release facility, which softened the year considerably.
Jackie was supportive of me seeking addiction treatment for my drug problem, and made a very effective argument to the judge and prosecutor that I undergo addiction treatment as opposed to prison. Her insistence on treatment led me to the recovery community, and I have been clean and sober since my arrest in 2009. I have found a way of life free from addiction and the tumult of my past. Since initially working on my case in 2009, she has been available and generous to answer questions I have pertaining to my case, and has continued to help me any way she can.
Jackie went above and beyond her professional responsibilities in a way that speaks to her passion for helping those in need. While she worked to form a defense strategy, she kept both me and my parents updated constantly, always being in contact when we needed. She tells it like it is, not sugar-coating or giving false optimism, but she is ambitious in the outcomes she reaches to achieve for her clients – she was great to watch in court, very aggressive.
I’m sure her amazing competence is in part due to her spending part of her career as a prosecuting attorney, so she is especially familiar with the prosecutor’s way of strategizing, making her a great defense attorney.

Jackie has been extremely patient with me to say the least. It has been really great being able to have someone on my side even I've felt like no one is. She has always came through even when difficult situations have came our way. She is direct, honest, levelheaded, and reliable. She follows through and has alleviated A LOT of stress for me and my family. Something told me not to call another attorney after finding Jackie in November. When speaking to her in November I was in a dark place. It was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. She listened to me(before even getting paid) for probably 30 minutes and I went on and on. I was in tears throughout most of the conversation. She showed compassion to my situation without judgment when it is easy to judge my situation. Her office staff is really great as well. They are very prompt and available. If Jackie is unavailable they are on it. Jackie responds very quickly. Most emails get replies within minutes. She has truly went above and beyond. She's put up with a lot from me and has been beyond patient with me to say the least. It's scary being involved with the law especially in Johnson County, Ks, so it's easy to live in fear. Jackie and her experience has made an unbearable situation bearable. I was not even going to get an attorney but I called just because my fiance wanted me to... thank goodness I did. I would have faced all of my backup time NO QUESTIONS ASKED had it not been for Jackie. I would recommend Jackie for sure. She's seen me through. Hiring her has been the most horrifying decision my family could have made. She has had my fiances case since the mid of Feb, & hasn't spent more than 1-1 1/2 hrs actually talking to him about the details. According to her, and i quote, she "doesn't need to talk to him, bc she has the police reports right in front of her" WHAT!? He told her specifically when he paid her & signed the contract to keep me & his mother up to date with regards to his case. Guess how many times she's called us with an update? ZERO- In fact every time I called her to get an idea of what was going on, she treated me like an inconvenience, & spoke to me as if I had no business bothering her in the first place. Most recently we had a telephone conversation, after I found out some VERY IMPORTANT info about the case elsewhere, I was furious that she had not filled him in or spoken w him about it before his next court date. Her response? Write a letter to my fiance (her client) & fabricated the details of the conversation-- Because he is still not WORTH a phone call, or visit... She sat silently while the DA worked out a super sweet deal w the codefendant, didn't bother to say a thing to her "client" & then offered my fiance the scraps- She has done absolutely NOTHING in his defence & showed absolutely NO interest in his well being. Not to mention, we have caught her in several lies so far, Absolutely unexpected from someone you hire to defend your rights!! At this point we aren't really sure who she's working for, her paid clients- or the DA! Do not ignore the bad reviews!! Also, take note that some of the "good reviews" are names from family & friends. Hire her at your own risk!

Please take into consideration that people always have a tendency to Play The Blame Game where Attorney’s are Concerned. But please be optimistic and open minded when only one side of the story is shared. For me Personally I feel that Attorney Jackie Rokusek and her staff go far and beyond the call of duty to keep their clients apprised as to what is going on, As well as what to Expect, From Beginning to End. Attorney Rokusek is not a lawyer that does not interact personally with her clientele. She will call you back personally and answer any questions that you may have. It is imperative that I deal with a Hands On Attorney. To me that is a sure sign that the lawyer does care about me as a person. I am sure that at the End of the Day and Attorney Jackie Rokusek takes time to Self-Reflect on her accomplishments of the day in regards to her clients, I pray that she understands, In being a Public Servant her job is to Serve the people who crosses her path, as fairly, untiringly, With the Greatest Ability, And Knowledge Of The Law, Experience and Effort that God has graced you with. God was not able to please everyone, and your quest will not be any different. Just know that as long as you put your best foot forward, You Will Never, Ever FAIL!

RUN AWAY While You Still Can! This Lawyer Pressured me into a fake deal With prosecutors over a self defense case. She made a deal with prosecutors and didn't explain the deal properly before the deal was made. Now I'm reaping the consensuses. She also had me sign a employment contract with her without reading it to me I got home and was flabbergasted at what i read. Her bed side manor was terrible often screaming and lying to me when my kids were listening. If i were you, I would never give her your money. After she is paid she abandons her responsibilities and goes back on her promises. She doesn't care about her clients and avoids questions like the plague. She only cares about money, pushing a plea deal and trying not to ruffle feathers. I hired Mrs. Rokusek for a trial because i was innocent. But innocence doesn't Matter to her. I payed her the entire amount $15,000 upfront and was milked for more money afterwards for gas, hotel expenses and her privater investigator. I was pressured into agreeing that i did something when i didn't commit a crime at all. Now I am considered a Criminal because of this Dishonest Lawyer. And I am still looking at serious Jail Time After 3.3 years later. Get every thing in writing and record your phone conversations like i did w/ her or you will be very sorry in the long run. Also, if she offers you her personal private investigator, Mark Reeder (Run). To put this plain and clear. She is not what she claims to be you should look for Another Lawyer. Buyer Beware!

I sold my house to pay her, for my fiance she didn't do anything for him but made his case worst... she would tell him she be back to see him never came told me she was going to visit him never did when she said.. I called to discuss his case she was talking about someone else .. all she care about is MONEY... NOT HER CLIENTS..there guys that's lock up with him boy happy with het.. they filed complaints... she don't want give us our money back . She a sorry attorney please don't use her.. she don't care about you or your case..

My attorney was Jessica Sokoloff. She was excellent. She was very detail oriented and kept me aware of what was going on with my case at all times. My case went to trial and I felt Jessica handled herself well. In the end we did prevail. I would definitely use her services again.
