I was "represented" in a federal case by Alec Carpenter. My case went to trial. Throughout the who process leading up to trial, he did not stay in contact with me, unless I had a family member reach out to him asking him to please contact me with my questions and concerns. I've read other reviews and he seems to be a completely different person to others. However, I was treated differently. I previously requested certain documents from him and he assured me that I would receive them. But when it came down to it, he later told me that I could not get them. Once losing the trial, he assured my fiancee that she could reach out to him if needed. However, he has since then blocked her from reaching out to him for no known reason. She has called him numerous times, called his office, called his cell phone and texted him and Carpenter has yet to return any of her calls nor respond to any texts. He has also not been in contact with me (AT ALL) as his client to see what questions or concerns I have or if I need anything. I've heard all these great stories about how other people's lawyer has called to check in with them to see if they've needed anything and I've heard absolutely nothing from this man. I'm currently in the process of reporting him to the Bar Association as I have no other way of getting the help I need (from him). Bottom line is I wish he would've kept me in the loop of things and then kept in contact with my fiancee and followed through on the things that he said/promised. I hope this review helps and saves someone the headache as I sure wish someone would've warned me.

I would like to thank Mr. Carpenter and his entire legal team. My close family friend was charged with serious federal charges and facing a mandatory 10 year prison sentence. Alec kept us informed throughout the entire process and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end. The co-defendant ended up receiving 5 years and my friend received federal probation. This was a very difficult case for all of us and Alec and his office were amazing. I cannot thank Alec enough and I highly recommend this firm. They truly are the best. Thank you!
