I had a really strange interaction with this company. I'm a professional land investor...I buy and sell land throughout the US. I deal with escrow and title companies on a daily basis. I'm trying to buy some vacant land from a seller in NC. I have a signed agreement from the seller. I called and they said that they can help close my transaction. So, I signed their paperwork and sent it back along w/ my agreement. Their operations manager responded by asking a clarifying question. Then, before I answered the email, she responded again stating that they don't close properties in Ashe County, NC...which I thought was strange because it looks like they close throughout the entire state and her colleague said that they can close in that county. When I questioned this, she responded back saying that "due to current circumstances, they cannot be involved in this transaction at all". Actually, the email she sent me was full of misspellings and nearly incoherent. Regardless, there was no explanation or reason...just saying they can't be involved...which I thought was strange. I can handle it if there is a valid reason, but to say they can do it, ask a question, tell me they don't close in that County (which seemed to be a lie), and finally that they didn't want to do it...it was all just very strange. So, my interaction with them was pretty poor.

I have used Harry Marsh to close on 3 investment properties and thought the process was okay for the first 2 properties, however, the 3rd property was rough. As a mail away buyer, it puts a lot of stress on all parties because no one is in the same room for closing, so I understand my situation is not easy. However, to make this process easier, communication needs to be strong. Harry's team is NOT strong with communication. No one would return my calls, texts or emails to confirm the wire transfer was received, whether the documents were received in the mail and if the funding from the loan officer came through. Instead of giving me updates, I was ghosted. This means I had a realtor, loan officer, future tenant and business partner all freaking out without answers. At one point we were told we had closed, but had not. I addressed this with Harry by emailing him these concerns before posting this and his response was "It was an end of the month closing, it happens, call me if you need me next time." I will be using another attorney next time who actually is 1) Present for my business and 2) cares about my feedback and experience.

As the seller I didn't choose this attorney but I'm stuck with him. At closing on Monday he didn't even show up. We signed papers with an assistant who requested information last minute that we just happened to have on hand. Here it is two days later and I have not received one red cent for the house I supposedly sold on Monday because nobody from this office could take the initiative to drive to the courthouse and file the deed. Instead they just mailed it. Who knows when or if I'll get paid!! This guy has absolutely no regard for other people's time and it sickens me!!

I never met a lawyer who is more responsive and nice than Mr. Marsh. I found him on google on a Friday night and sent him an email and he responded within 15 minutes. On the following day, Saturday, I emailed him again about questions on a for-sale-by-owner deal, and he responded almost immediately. I asked more than 20 questions on the following few days because I wasn’t sure about how to buy a FSBO property. Mr. Marsh always responded to emails whenever he could, usually within 30 minutes. While we were in the process of trying to buy a FSBO property Mr. Marsh always patiently answer questions. The deal fell through with the FSBO property because the property had termite damages and Mr. Marsh didn't even charge me for his service. A few weeks later I contacted Mr. Marsh again to try to buy another property, he patiently helped me again even though the first deal fell through. Closing was super-fast, I was surprised that he didn't charge me more than the standard rate. Mr. Marsh is humble, honest and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to everyone I know because I truly believe that a hard-working honest person like him deserves to have good business.

Harry Marsh. All I can say is WOW! With my situation, most, if not all, would say it was pretty 'messed up'. I was facing a forclosure, in which I had no control over. After my divorce and the death of my ex-husband,  a lawyer to breakdown all of my documents giving me a clear understanding of my rights, contacting other parties involved for help and even contacting the State asking for assistance, no one could or would help me.
