Solicited and retained the services of Paulina Havelka back in 2018 for a Child Custody and Support case when she worked with Steven T. Meier, PLLC.
She was very personable and professional in the BEGINNING! However after the retainer was paid I only received one email correspondence from her. I made multiple visits to her office as she did not answer the phone I was able to see her in person on one occasion because I refused to leave the office until she saw me.
Fast forward to two days before my initial trial: 1.) I had only met Paulina one time. 2.) we had only communicated directly with each other two times 3.) She did not have any materials, evidence nor did she ever make contact with the opposing attorney! 4.) Her Paralegal at the time was very rude and nasty to me when I requested my retainer back! (I was only able to receive about half my retainer back)
Later on in the day after doing some research found out that Paulina Havelka had actually been running for public office, the North Carolina 26th Judicial District to be exact!
I was completely saddened! I had entrusted her to represent me in a case involving the livelihood of my only child in this world and she did not have the decency to defer to another attorney or even tell me that she had been running for public office and did not have the "time" to handle my case.
SHAME ON YOU PAULINA HAVELKA! I was mortified to discover that she had actually won the the 26th District and can only hope that she has grown as a professional for the sake of any individual that has had to encounter her.
I only left one star because I couldn't leave Zero stars.
I would not be surprised if the reviews prior to my post were not completed by her friends and or associates as you will see that two of the reviewers have the same exact name (Kristen Mccall)
Do not seek retention of Ms. Havelka's services, pay more money and get a reputable lawyer that has your best interest at heart!
