I recently had the brief pleasure of working with Katie and Matt McCord for a consultation on a legal matter of great concern to me, but one which I had little experience or understanding of. This is the first time I've ever reached out to an attorney for any reason, other than real estate closings. I had a meeting with McCord law firm to talk about product liability as a start up. I thought this was a good law firm as recommendations on FB were good and the firm advertises they do start-up consultation as well.
Unfortunately I left with a bad feeling - the attorney was opinionated, unappreciative and I did not feel comfortable as I had the feeling he is not taking me seriously. If you are seeking legal advise as a start-up I recommend seeing an expert in this field, not a generalist.
You don‘t want to meet with someone who has a general negative vibe and is very blunt.
