Held on to all my medical records and personal notes for over 6 months and NEVER would commit to taking my malpractice case. Wasted a lot of valuable time since malpractice suits have a deadline for filing. Medical records and personal info was missing when I picked up my paperwork to go to a different lawyer. Nearly 2 months later, Vaughn still can't find my records. My advice is to keep looking if your looking for a competent attorney that will do their job.
The best thing I can say is that it was finally completed. The process should have take 30 days and it was dragged out longer than 4 months. I can only assume that this was done in order to double charge me as I finally received an invoice for double what I was quoted. I would have to send multiple requests for updates before receiving a call back or a response. Jeff kept pushing for in person meetings and yet would be late and unprepared when I showed up. I had multiple meetings where I had to remind him what we talked about the last time and what he was supposed to have completed. There was multiple typos and issues with the first set of filings even when I provided the exact language and content. I should have taken it as a sign to go elsewhere when I had to come in for a second visit after it was clear he hadn't read any of the documentation that I had provided before the first meeting.
