Gary and John have the best family law practice in Utah. If you are a single father, and you feel like there is no hope, you are not alone. Please let me share my story with you. When I met Gary and John, I had little, to no visitation with my daughter and son. I had crushing child support payments, and to make matters more challenging, my children have different mothers. My situation was very complicated, and every single day I felt depressed, and hopeless. I wanted so badly to be a father to my children, and the court system did nothing but crush me, and push me out of my children's lives. The mothers had complete control of them, and made my life miserable. John gave me hope for the first time in my children's lives, starting from the first meeting. He layed out a plan, and told me that it wouldn't be easy, but if I did everything they advised, we had a real chance at joint custody. I did every little thing. I jumped through every court hoop, and we did much better than I would have ever dreamed. Gary is an excellent trial lawyer, in my opinion, he is the best out there. Our first court appearance, he established a visitation schedule with the courts, and got me the first taste of rights to my own children, but he didn't stop there. In the end, I was awarded sole custody of my daughter, and primary physical custody of my son. 2 completely different cases, at the same time. Any father out there knows that the court system is totally favored in the mothers direction. There is not equality. Father's have little to no rights to their own children. It feels beyond awful. You only really understand the bleakness of it, if you have experienced it first hand. John and Gary helped me through the most difficult part of my life. We battled through the most complicated issues of family court, from proving child abuse, to the mother not returning my daughter, and eventually proving child abduction, and getting my daughter back from another state. The whole story is too horrific to explain in one review. My point is this. They stuck by my side through all of it. Even when I was so broke I could barely pay my bills. They gave me my children. When no one cared about the injustice, and the courts turned their backs on me, they truly cared and gave hope when I was hopeless. They never stopped fighting for my family, and I. I cannot say enough to explain my gratitude, and respect for this team. Gary and John are both wonderful attorneys, and a some of the most genuinely amazing human beings I have met. They are true heroes.
Before I finish I think it's important to also mention that I have recommended them to family and several friends living their own custody nightmares. Each and every person speak about them the same way. When it comes to father's rights, and family law there is no one who will be better to you and your family.
Don't give up. There is hope. You will make it through the nightmare. You will be together with your child/children again. I know I needed to hear this, so if you made it this far, you probably need to hear this too. I hope you the best.
