Mr. Kraft has been serving as a pro tem Judge in SLC Justice Court Small Claims. He is unaware of small claims rules of procedures, including Rule 13 regarding representation of plaintiffs and defendants. His lack of knowledge required a plaintiff's representative to "be the equivalent of a lawyer" and held the representative to standards clearly not required by small claims rules of procedures. In a trial on August 1, 2018 before a trial started he falsely accused a plaintiff witness of being "a liar" and slandered said witness in an open public forum. Further Mr. Kraft proffered a defense witnesses to prove a claim by the defense, not adequately presented by the defendant, and used his own questioning to rule for the defense. He ruled against the plaintiff "with prejudice". In fact the prejudice was Mr Krafts personal prejudice.
Mr. Kraft also adjudicated that an order to force plaintiff, in a May 23,2018, to pay defendant's lawyer $250 was legal and proper. The decision was arbitrary and of great legal and ethical merit.
We are filing with an ethics complaint with the Utah bar seeking disciplinary action. We have filed a complaint with the honorable Judge John Baxter who's in charge of small claims to have Mr.Kraft barred from future service as a pro tem judge. There is no room for people such as Mr. Kraft in the Judicial justice system, especially for folks who don't have the money to seek justice in civil court and their ONLY opportunity is in “the peoples” small claims court.

I wholeheartedly recommend this attorney! Roger Kraft helped me to gain my financial footing and set my life back on track. He was professional, courteous and prompt at all times. When we first met or attorney Roger Kraft we were not only discouraged with our financial situation. We were also skeptical about other attorneys in general.
