We had a slow start when choosing Cordell & Cordell as our firm but finally Doug Anderson was assigned to be our attorney. We have been very pleased and very impressed with how he’s handled our case. He has represented us exactly how we wanted and achieved the outcome that we expected, even when some curveballs were thrown at us. I would definitely recommend Doug as an attorney to anyone.

Attorney Jake Cowdin is great to work with he explains everything out so you can understand what is going on and keeps you updated and posted on absolutely everything. Jake explains each and every document that he will be filing in court. He sends you over copies to read and approve before submitting with the court for any corrections. I had an attorney before Jake Cowdin in which I fired, "Chad Shattuck with Tycksen & Shattuck" this attorney created a total disaster of a nightmare of my case. Chad Shattuck tried to get me to move out of our home so my ex to be could move in with his girlfriend. Chad Shattuck did not file alimony documents with the court by the time I changed attorneys it was too late. Chad Shattuck stated, "I would never get $1000.00 per month in alimony." I guess not when Chad Shattuck failed to file the supporting documents requesting alimony with the court. My ex is living on $3000.00 per month and I live on $816.00 per month after 21 plus years of marriage no alimony. Chad Shattuck cost me $35,000.00 to $40,000 on credit cards that I am still paying and besides paying another $6000.00 on monthly payments. That Chad Shattuck raked up with no explanation. Chad Shattuck caused a total disaster in my case and throw me completely under the bus!!! By all rights he should be turned over to the bar for a complete investigation for how he handled my case. My ex stole all the money blamed me in stealing the money all while my ex three months before the divorce went out and purchased a 2016 ford truck for $38,000. My ex said and caused many lies and got away with it all. Chad Shuttuck caused such a disaster in my case that I settled out of court or I would have ended up paying my ex's attorney fees. Do your research before hiring a divorce attorney. It is a stressful time when you are going through a divorce and you need an attorney like Jake Cowdin that is experienced, bright, confident that has your back. Believe me you are in no frame of mind to continually have to keep a check on your attorney and what he is and isn’t doing with Jake Cowdin you can be confident that he will fight hard for you. I did receive our 2013 Ford Truck Thank You Jake Cowdin. My first attorney Chad Shuttuck refused to negotiate another vehicle that we owned in the divorce it was Jake Cowdin that won the 2013 Ford Truck for me. Jake Cowdin with Cordell and Cordell will surely do you right!!! Start with a competent attorney like Jake Cowdin you will be in excellent hands!

Extremely disappointed in this law office. DO NOT use this law firm. You will get screwed over and you will only have rights taken away especially if you’re a father. They only hurt fathers rights for those who deserve the best!

These guys say they represent dads but they have an attorney that works for them that is against their standards and represents my x who is a female and is trying tomprove im an unfit father which is highly wrong and this lawyer who works for them doesnt see how good of a father i am and that she is using my son against me. Its sad these guys represent females when they advertise their all about fathers rights but in this case its not. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS FOR YOUR SERVICES THEY GO AGAINST WHAT THEY PORTRAY TO FATHERS.

I have had my fair share of hiring lawyers due to my eccentric lifestyle and these guys right here make snake oil salesmen look fantastic. The only leveling of the playing field that was leveraged was making sure he got paid, and even then he made sure an easy 5 minute answer took an hours worth of pay.

Any evidence I had as proof against my exes allegations were met with "We don't need that, I'm building rapport with opposing counsel". What kind of lawyer does this instead of help you get better footing in a legal battle weighted toward mothers? These guys.

When mediation came it was a joke, a total money grab for attorney and best "mediator" they could find. What kind of mediation really happens when the two parties are not in the same room working things out? Cordell & Cordell mediation.

What kinda of lawyer plays on his phone and says he's practicing his photography so he doesn't have to do this anymore?

What kind of lawyer says that if the opposing party doesn't agree to anything in mediation we leave but then rolls over and pressures you into signing away any chance you have of fair parental rights with your child?

Finally, what kind of attorney will "forget" to complete contractually agreed upon filing of documents and then expect you to pay thousands of dollars AFTER stating they forgot?

^ he finally decided that he would do me a favor and complete his contractual agreement for free as a favor. Sadly, still waiting on him to finish since he is probably still trying to build rapport.

Divorce is stressful and horrible. These guys seem to want to add abject poverty to it as well.

I had the pleasure of working with both Doug Anderson and Jacob Smith. They were both incredible to me; answering late night emails and text messages throughout this trying time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Others have had negative reviews toward Ryan Stanger, who left the firm and started his own. I had the displeasure of having him as opposing counsel. His laziness and downright difficult demeanor cost both myself and my ex countless hours and money, and prolonged the process for months. Do yourself a favor and contact this firm first, you won't regret it.

For what we paid them, we had to give way too much in other areas (money, property etc) to get basically what we could have gotten on our own with that much of a bribe. It started out well and then I feel we weren't supported after that, it was like give the ex wife everything she wants. My son wanted his kids joint custody which we got, but at a very high cost for a lying cheating spouse who never even showed up for mediation, and yet our attorney moved forward. I would say save the big bucks and find a better law firm.

Ryan Stanger is a lazy, inexperienced and over priced hack. I spent over $22,000.00 in 4 months and had nothing to show for it. He showed up to court and mediation with no preparation and no plan. He was more interested in the sub sandwiches at lunch than my case. In the end I lost custody of my son and visitation all for swearing at my ex at a rugby game. I brought my case to another lawyer later and he told me the way it was handled by Ryan Stanger and Cordell Cordell was blatant malpractice. Unfortunately it was too late. If you want to burn through cash and receive poor advise by all means choose this firm.

Doug Anderson was professional easy to work with during such a hard time. I highly recommended him.

I had the pleasure of working with Ryan Stanger. Divorce is absolute misery. Cordell Law is the best any man could ask for to fight for equal parenting rights. Ryan Stanger came up with a plan that proved to be very intelligent, and downright aggressive. Through the weeks as things came up he was right there to guide me. Doug Anderson was great. I was never treated or felt as though I wasn't the most important client the firm had. I was always kept up to speed and never had a problem getting a quick response when I had a question or concern. I feel like Doug was in my corner the entire fight start to finish and couldn't recommend him or the firm any more highly. I will always be grateful for all of the extra time I now have with my son that probably wouldn't have been possible without their help.
