I used SimpleCitizen for my adjustment of status after much research and deliberation. I’m really glad I did. It took six months from start to finish and I had my green card in my hand five days after the interview. The interview took less than ten minutes—the interviewer said he could have done a paper adjudication because the documentation was so complete. SimpleCitizen made it so easy to compile everything. I strongly recommend them.

I was so lost and confused as far as what to do with my papers. A friend of mine recommended me simplecitizen. I was a little hesitant but finally decided to give it a trial. The software is very intuitive and makes it super easy to navigate the very long and complicated USCIS forms. The staff was always very responsive and helpful, although sometimes things got delayed and/or never got done and had to email inquiring several things. Final application came back with a few mistakes because apparently all the process it is automatic, make sure to review thoroughly when you get the package.

This is certainly an affordable and helpful tool for someone who has straightforward cases. Be sure to contact an attorney if you think your application has any red flags.

For those who don't want to read my whole review, just know that it is well worth your $$$ to have this team help you with your immigration needs!

SimpleCitizen's bread-and-butter is AOS (adjustment of status), but I had to apply for my spouse through consular processing. Even then, their process was extremely helpful and simplifies the I-130 into easy-to-digest questions.

My favorite parts:
1. Customer service - Matt was extremely helpful in everything. Not only did he make himself available via online chat/email, he also made himself available via phone to talk through the application and any questions I had along the way. I just submitted this week, but his team will be here for the remainder of the process as well!
2. Finished product quality - I was very impressed with the finished product. The application was nicely bound and put into a clean box with very clear instructions included as well. I just had to simply ship it off.

Update 1/24/19: Sam and Matt contacted me after I expressed my concerns about my final package and made all the corrections within hours after they knew I want to submit in two days. He said they have helped make thousands of application not even one got rejected. 1/22/19: I'm using the service to apply for my green card right now. The system seemed to be well-made when I was filling all my info. I found that the only way you can contact them is through live chat and emails and sometimes replies can get delayed. When I got the my final package after attorney review, I found out some minor errors. I pointed everything out and emailed them to Matt and waiting for the reply.

Simple Citizen is an easy way to handle your applications for Natralization, greencards or visas. I was able to to get a fully prepared kit ready to be sent to USCIS within a week; with everything completely explained. All the areas where i needed to sign the document was made available to me. Sam and his team was very excellent at communicating to me via telephone, email and live chat. I received all the support i needed. All i had to do was to sign up, pay the fees(which is really cheap to prepare and send documents via courier service ) fill out a small questionnaire; upload my personal documents and voila...i was all done. All was left for me to do was to wait for a response from uscis. There was NO NEED to visit any expensive immigration lawyer to get this done Thank you Simple Citizen!!!!

The level of support provided, specifically by Sam, has so far been unbelievable-frankly, the level of support is beyond what I hoped, let alone expected. We messaged the chat bot at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon, got an automated message that SimpleCitizen would be back tomorrow..and Sam responded within 30 seconds. He listened (very) patiently to our somewhat extensive situation, until I offered to speak on the phone if he thought it would help. He proceeded to call me a minute later, understood our problem clearly and quickly, and provided information and solutions to resolve every question I had on the spot (turnaround time, level of support, package options, shipping options, etc). Honestly, unless Sam has significant equity in the company, he's underpaid for sure. It's just way beyond the level of customer support you expect; you don't realistically even hope for that on a Sunday afternoon. Gotta give recognition and show appreciation where it's due!!

In the beginning, simplecitizen seemed too good to be true. In the end, they were. When I sent in the application that they printed for me, it got rejected. When I called, they had their attorney review it and assured me there was nothing wrong. I resent it and a few weeks later got another notice of rejection. They again assured me it was good and I should resend it as they made a mistake. Again, rejected. I then hired an attorney who within 30 seconds of opening the application, realized there was an incorrect answer to one of the questions. One of the most basic questions.

This was clearly an error with their algorithm and their follow up review procedures. The reason I still gave them 2 stars is because they reimbursed me the money I paid the lawyer and they were cordial and helpful along the way.

This prolonged my application by at least 6 months.

I’m lucky the USCIS didn’t officially reject my application and keep the application money.

They are amazing. My friends struggled for a year trying to file this application. I complete it it and less than two weeks. My friends got charged $250 and $50 dollars for an attorney to review it and translate their birth certificate. With SimpleCitizen I just paid $50 more and got all the easy access to the forms and so much help from them and more. My friends after years ask questions to them and they still respond quickly. They were amazing to me. I had a due date to do this and they were so fast. They review it and gave me pretty much the same feedback as the attorney, and in less than a week, the attorney reviewed my application. They paid more and put my application in a two day shipping. After coming to the United States with my family we decided to stay here. When we decided to stay the next step was to start the immigration process. Our first move was look for an attorney. Right now 2 weeks after the interview I just got the email from the USCIS and my green card is coming. 1 year and 1 month from the begining to the green card. Excellent service. Would have taken absolutely hours to do this myself. Usually like to do things myself but really glad I didn’t this time. Compared websites and this one was a bit cheaper but I tried it anyway and excellent service at every step not sure how it could have been better. I was a bit put off because I don’t think you can call people directly for advice, so had to email, but they are extremely responsive. Most responsive to emails I’ve seen. Much much more responsive than a lawyer I’ve used before. Attorney review at the end was efficient and picked up things I wouldn’t have realized were important and couldn’t have found from reading endless forums. Was really nice that any random question I had at any point even just a little unsure I could just ping them an email. It's such an important and precise process that I definitely wanted someone to help us with! We found SimpleCitizen while googling some immigration questions when I and my wife decided to apply back then, and I couldn't ask for anything more than what SimpleCitizen full package offered, filling the application was so easy, simple as signing up for an online website! We appreciated it so much that they translate all the necessary and needed documents free-of-charge within the package, peace of mind to us! SimpleCitizen has been a great for us during the very confusing process of applying for a greencard for my husband from the Netherlands. We first filled out the information on their online system and then their system compiled all the documents into a 600 pages package. We are using them for my wife’s AOS, the software they use is very intuitive but it takes so long for them to reply if you ask questions. Like an entire day? With one liner answers and unnecessary questions that can be answered if they simply look into my wife’s account. Hoping that they will pull through once we get the packet and everything...

SimpleCitizen was awesome! The name says it all, they’ve made the whole complicated immigration process such a breeze for me and my wife. To all my African brothers & sisters, if you’re contemplating using SimpleCitizen just do it! I did and didn’t have no problems at all. It’s very easy and SimpleCitizen’s straight forward software takes you through the whole process with the up to date forms and everything, they can also have some expert review your application before you finally send it in. Just do it and get yourself right!

They deserve six of five stars. Without them it would have been difficult to know how to fill out the forms for an aos, ead, and ap application.

My spouse was able to use the ead combo card to work and also to travel internationally. We would not have applied for an AP was it not for simplecitizen.

The thing we most appreciated most was that they were there to help with questions even after having submitted the paper work to uscis. They had really already done their part which was filling out the forms for us and really didn't have to answer; but, when we had a question they helped, even a year and a half after having sent off the paperwork. My spouse just recently had the green card approved, thank you simplecitizen. We will be using you again for when my spouse can apply for citizenship.

UPDATE 4:
I received another call from Matt from SimpleCitizen. He was very apologetic and made a good effort to resolve the situation. I was offered a refund and a new packet with all shipping costs paid. He also set up a call with the attorney's office to talk through any questions I had about the process. It seems the company had a large uptick in clients and had difficulties because of this. Matt assured me that more staff have been hired to deal with the increased volume. I'm glad that SimpleCitizen went to this effort to fix my problem and I hope that they are able to continue to provide this level of service to their clients going forward.

It had several mistakes - some of these were changes I had previously emailed about changing but weren't, while others were obvious mistakes that I can't believe an attorney wouldn't catch. It was another multi-week process to get any response on these and get an updated pdf.

SimpleCitizen were initially very good. They were communicative and the online app was easy to navigate and use. However, when I submitted my K1 application to them for attorney review, this changed significantly.

According to the app, the attorney review process should take 5-10 business days and that I would be kept informed via email.

It's now been a full month since I submitted it for review and SimpleCitizen have been largely quiet on the issue.

I have emailed and messaged them several times over this period but my questions were mostly ignored entirely. Eventually I received one email saying they would look into it, but this was never followed up. I replied to the email and this was also ignored.

SimpleCitizen have a large amount of my personal information and are involved in a very important time of my life and this lack of communication is extremely upsetting. Although I was initially impressed I'm not sure I can recommend the company at all given my current experience.

There's still been no resolution to this issue. If you are considering using this company for your visa, please be wary of long and unexplained delays.

I hope that SimpleCitizen can remedy this issue as soon as possible.

Great experience throughout the whole process! The team is very quick at responding making every step easier than you'd think. SimpleCitizen has been super helpful. It was easy to fill out the paperwork. Also, the customer service is really good.

We had a big issue right off the bat, we signed up, made a payment, waited for the confirmation email, but it never came. We could not login to the account we had created but they sure took the money out of my account. After 3 phone calls and speaking with 3 different people, they were able to set up our account correctly, but we couldn't log in for 2-3 days while they resolved this. Everything went smoothly as we sent them our doccumentation. They sent the forms out in a timely manner, and we submitted everything. That's where the good service stopped. We got a notification that we needed to go to a biometric appointment, but had already done so. Sent simple citizen a message and she replied with a message that was addressed to someone with a different name. It's so unprofessional not to check what you write the person's actual name that's right in front of your eyes! We got our notice for our interview, I emailed simple citizen again asking how we could prepare. The same woman replied simply asking if we had received another message she supposedly sent, which was nowhere to be found. The only reason I'm giving these guys 2 stars is because Sam was very helpful and the doccuments were filled out correctly. If I could go back and have the option of using this service or paying $1500 for a lawyer, I honestly would have gone with the actual lawyer. I paid for the premium which is supposed to provide you with interview prep. All that was sent to me was the same advice I found for free online after no one got back to me when I asked about it. If it weren't for Sam's quick response on a Saturday morning, I'd be giving these guys 1 star.

My first biggest mistake I made in 2019 is to use SimpleCitizen again to remove condition. I will remember that: you get what you pay for. If your case is super simple but you are just too lazy and too poor to prepare, go for it. otherwise, hire a local immigration attorney.

I chose $348 premium package including online chat support and attorney review. IT'S A JOKE and my nightmare started from the day I clicked submit:

1. Online support: never respond you. You wait hours or even a day to get reply. They keep promising but cannot make it. The owner has been keeping telling me they would have it ready tmr for a week Monday to Friday! And now is Friday, I am still waiting their answers for my concern. I do not expect anymore. I hired an attorney.
2. Attorney review: they said it will take 5-10 days. Pls be ready for weeks.
3. I keep asking them my attorney review status, and they told me my case is complicated, but the PDF file they sent me is just a simple combine of all the docs I uploaded. The attorney review feedback is just a copy & paste in general, not for my specific case.
4. THE WORST THING: THEY MADE ERRORS ON THE FORM. AND I COUGHT THEM!!! THEY SPENT 4-5 HOURS TO FIX THE ERRORS ON A FORM!!!

Simple citizen is amazing! We used this service for adjustment of status from F1 and for a work authorization. The program was simple, they took all the guessing work out of how to fill out the forms and what paperwork we need. and even organized it a very simple way to fill out and sign! will recommend them to all my friends! Thank you so much a huge shoutout to Matt who went above and beyond and even checked on us to make sure everything was going well! I recommend this any day over a immigration lawyer!

Our green card just got approved and we couldn’t be any happier! Simple citizen was super helpful through the process, filling out the documents through their site was super easy and it took little to no time to get everything together. Once we filled out the documents they reviewed our papers and sent our full package home and from there we just put it in the mail and sent it to the USCIS. The first steps u til getting the EAD moved super quickly and then things kinda slowed down. What was great was to have simple citizen there to help us. Our application was outside of the regular processing times and we didn’t have any idea (we thought it was just taking long) simple citizen called me to tell about it and gave me a couple of suggestions for me to do, I took action based on what they told me and my interview got scheduled 1 day after my submission! From there it was super smooth, interview, approval and now the card is in the mail! We are expecting to receive it by the end of this week. Thank you

Their website is simple to use, taking you through the process similar to turbotax.

However, things got very weird once we filled all the required forms and documents. On the website, SC said the application is being reviewed and it will take 3-5 business days. A week later nothing happened, so I contacted them for updates. They replied saying there will be an update the following Monday. A week goes by, and again nothing, so I contacted them again. They said again there would be an update soon. Another week goes by, and again, nothing... At this point, I wanted an actual update and reason for the delay. But sadly, no reasons were provided. After a 3rd week of no progress, I demanded the PDF with mistakes or a full refund. Then it was radio silence from then on.

Hi all:
I am writing this review due to couple of reasons.
1. I got my bio-metrics appointment (for Marriage based green card application) without any hurdles or hassles of resubmitting any documents all because of very systematic compiling of all required forms and documents done by SimpleCitizen. I am very pleased with service offered by them and thank them from bottom of my heart with a special thank you to Mr. Matthew for always being there to help me with the entire process.
2. It saved me a a big amount of money and my time.
3. They are very helpful and supportive.
4. All the USCIS forms look very complicated but SimpleCitizen made the whole process very smooth and easy.
5. There are so many other expensive companies which offer similar kind of services but Reading reviews helped me to choose SimpleCitizen. Thought writing review may help someone else too.
6. SimpleCitizen compiled all forms for me to file petition for my son too.

SimpleCitizen and it's staff are Amazing! Don't pay thousands to a lawyer, SimpleCitizen literally made it so simple. Great online support, and aftercare. SimpleCitizen seems like its pretty great for those seeking for status through marriage, however not easy for those seeking for status through family. I kind of had a more specific case where I was wanting to have my resident father petition for me, but the process took a lot longer than I thought it would.

The website offers the application process for a parent to petition for you, and the steps and process was fairly easy, in the beginning. The application process on the website has bugs which need to be fixed (some drop downs don't let you select years prior to 2009, which I did bring up via chat to a rep). it took 6 weeks and 1 bad review before anything was done with my application to move forward.

Sam from SimpleCitizen has been so kind and helpful in trying to fix my experience for me. I received a full refund and was even offered to still be assisted through out this process. Sam personally delivered my application/kit to me, which I felt was really cool of him.

The cover letter on my application not only had my father listed as my SPOUSE, it also listed documents as proof of evidence that I did not have. The application also had incorrect dates in it from the bug mentioned above. I reached out to Sam to see if the additional docs that were listed but not included absolutely needed to included before sending, and he confirmed one of them did, which needed to be translated. He was very kind to give me time to try to get that from my parents and followed up, however I am finding that it would be best if I went elsewhere to complete the process.

SimpleCitizen has really good intentions and really wants to help those in need of simplifying their process to obtain a green card, but they lack the staff to be able to provide documents for people with special cases (like myself) to be done in a timely manner, and reviewed/proofread before handing off. I am giving two stars because I received a full refund which I felt I deserved, but my experience as a whole regarding my special case has left me wishing I never started the process.

Update April 4, 2019:
I'm revising my review to five stars for the very professional way that SimpleCitizen handled my frustration with their service. Shortly after I expressed my concerns about the excessive delay with the translation of my birth certificate, I was contacted--on a weekend night--by Sam, the CEO of SimpleCitizen, who apologized and offered to personally review my application package. Sam also offered to issue a full refund. He sent me a digital copy of my application for proofreading and remained available on Sunday for any questions I had. On Monday, I was contacted via phone by Matt, who again apologized on behalf of their team, and confirmed that they would ship my application package overnight to me to make up for the previous delays. I received it on Tuesday, and was able to ship it to USCIS on Wednesday.

All things considered, I recommend SimpleCitizen for the overall quality of their service, and making a very overwhelming process simpler for applicants, at the fraction of the cost of hiring an attorney. Despite the hiccup in the service I experienced, their staff was always very courteous in all our communication through chats, emails and phone calls. And as mentioned in other reviews, the application package comes neatly assembled, with a cover letter for USCIS explaining all of its contents, and sticky notes pointing to where applicant and petitioner need to sign.

March 30, 2019:
I wish I could give SimpleCitizen five stars as most of other reviews, but unfortunately that has not been the case for me.

My partner and I decided to use SimpleCitizen because we don't have time to file for a green card on our own, but we can't afford to hire an attorney either. We are also pressed with time because I'm due to finish graduate school soon, so the earlier we submit the documentation the better. In addition, I have elderly parents with fragile health back home, and would like to be able to travel there when needed.

Here is the issue: I uploaded my birth certificate over three weeks ago, but it has not been translated yet, and that has hindered us from continuing the application process. On their forms it says documents are typically translated within 3-5 business days after they've been received. I could have gotten this translation done professionally in two business days elsewhere, but part of appeal of SimpleCitizen is that they take care of it for you if you pay the higher-priced package.

First, I don't understand why the translation is taking so long and have received no explanations. I feel disrespected by the lack of follow up on their part other than to say that they are checking on it. Second, I have asked, to no avail, if they can start reviewing our forms and documents (since everything else is ready), so that my partner and I can work on any issues that may arise while the translation is getting done.

The customer service over chat has been inconsistent (though they admittedly have always been very polite), because sometimes you get an answer right away, other times you have to remind them of your issue after days (as much as seven days) have passed, and the answer is usually the same vague "we're checking on it." I have finally asked, politely, for a manager to give me a call to clarify these issues, but that has not happened. Every immigrant is already in a precarious position from the beginning of this process, and I wish we were met with more care by their professional team, especially when exceptional situations like this come up. It's easy to give five stars when everything goes smoothly, but the real test is when things don't.

I'm not the type of person to write reviews online, but I feel there is no other outlet for my frustration. I am happy to revise this post if this issue is tended to accordingly.

Simple Citizen is a great website. Just to put in two words. It is "Easy" and"hassle free". I just filled out simple form and uploaded required documents and they did everything for me. The reason I edited my review and give 5 start . Is that after my first review . I recieved a call from the CEO of simple citizen, he was talking so much gently and apologized about what happened to me , and promised me that they will be working on my petition the whole night , also he issued me full refund , and yes the next morning they sent me an email with the edited file and they called me to make sure that everything is correct as they will send me everything through the fast overnight mail .
