Adoption and we could not have picked a better attorney for our case! Our case with Nick Gottwald lasted less than a year, his professionalism and commitment to us as clients made all the difference. He kept us informed throughout our case and was always available and willing to answer any/all of our questions and concerns. We would recommend him to anyone in need of an attorney!
On the negative side of things, I felt ignored more often than not and he was extremely difficult to get a hold of both by telephone and by email.

Mr nick gottwald 帮我处理了离婚案件 ,他是一个非常专业的律师!我的案件非常顺利!非常感谢!
I already have to spend more money and time to domesticate the judgment in Texas. It would have been nice to have had an attorney who truly looked out for my best interests and applied all parts of the law that would help his own client!
He kept me well informed throughout the whole process, and was very good at breaking down the legal jargon into plain English so I could fully understand all of the documents and hearings that we had to go through.
In the end we had what I believe was an extremely fair and favorable outcome and I would hire Nick again if I had to go back and start from the beginning.
I typically would not post a review such as this, but the thought of another person going through the same experience is justification. Nelson, Taylor & Associates are not forthcoming and have shady practices that throw caution to the wind and put the client at great risk. First, I specifically hired Elenia Cozean to fight my child custody case. She claimed she was independent and not part of a firm, which was important cost factor to me at the time. Later, my first bill arrived from Nelson, Taylor & Associates, not Elenia Cozean. This was my first “that’s weird’ moment, and upon my first visit to her practice it was clear she worked at this firm. Nonetheless, I moved forward. I hired Elenia to represent me on an already winning case. I’d already won twice on this issue, and she was simply defending me on the plaintiffs 3rd appeal. Come the day of court, she shows up with another lawyer, Wade Taylor, and let’s Wade make all the arguments. I never hired Wade Taylor. Why is is arguing my case? The plaintiff won the appeal and now I have to start over. With an evidentiary hearing deadline 3 days away, I get a letter from Elenia requesting dismissal from my case stating “miscommunication issues with the client”. She also went on to claim that due to an unpaid balance, she is asking for dismissal. Unpaid balance? This is the first time I was made aware of an unpaid balance issue that is affecting their ability to represent me. Why? There was no issue. I’ve always paid my legal fees. I’ve replenished the retainer twice already. On March 1st my balance was zero, so they claim by April 1st my balance was so far past due that they wanted a dismissal?
This was simply a technicality she and Wade hoped to use to get legally dismissed from the case.
The most troubling of all, this is a child custody case. To be treated so brazen and with callousness on such a sensitive issue, I can only imagine how the less serious issues might be treated.
Any family law issue has the potential for high anxiety, emotional reactions, and long-term impact on one's financial and family situation. I have been guided by Wade Taylor through the worst of these and will always appreciate his time, patience, and skills on behalf of me and my family.
