My first impression was favorable with a good feeling I made the right choice. After the second meeting I started to realize I was being drained with ZERO results. I made the third meeting and it was summed up. He drags you in asking for the same thing that I had already gave him and takes more money. Thousands of dollars later I closed my case with him and nothing to show for the money that was spent. Do yourself a favor look elsewhere for legal advise unless you have extra money to throw away.

Seriously consider the reviews of the honest, poor souls who came before you, do not trick yourself into thinking things will be different for you and if you find yourself engaged with this office, record, record, record everything like I did. This will assist you in identifying any doublespeak and confusing messages and it’ll help you when/if you have to fire him, file a complaint with the Utah State Bar and/or just to warn others. In my opinion and as a Disabled Veteran, his low cost approach and questionable client treatment will inevitable cost you so much more in the long run (money, emotional distress and valuable time when you are the one already in pain and seeking assistance)!

David incited conflict in an already high conflict divorce. Was blatantly taken advantage of. Charged for things a paralegal should have done but at his fee.

Just like the other reviewer I got robbed by this lowlife. Drags things out and creates a bunch of irrelevant details and 'what if' situations that keep your money coming it, yet provides NO results.

Mr. Hartwig was helpful in explaining the probate process. I appreciated his advice as my situation took twists and turns. I could have taken my issue to court, and I believe Mr. Hartwig would be a force in the courtroom. I ultimately chose not to go to court and I appreciate Mr. Hartwig's willingness to push on or back off in a way that met my personal needs. Mr. Hartwig's fees were reasonable and I am pleased with his service. I will return to him in the future if the need arises.

I have always had a good working relationship with David. He cares about what happens to his clients and works hard to make sure they are well represented. He also is willing to discount his services to veterans, and to others who need it. He also has been trained in family law in Special Master work, which is something many attorneys have not done, in order to help families who are high conflict and who need help resolving issues outside the court room.

I have had dealings with David for the past 4 years. He is professional, fair-minded, and conscientious, and I have been very pleased with all my transactions with him. I recommend him highly!

David Hartwig is a crook. He inflates his time to rob his customers all the money he can get his hands on. He charges for calls he makes and you don't answer. He emails you the same email several times and will charge you 22.50 for every email. I spent about $19,000.00 in about 2 months on him and didn't accomplish one thing. After he signed the substitution for council he continued to charge me him looking up my case with the courts until my new attorney filed it with the courts. That cost me another $200.00.
I'm warning people do not use David Hartwig.
