First and foremost I have never used an attorney for a workers comp case, yet I obtained there services because I felt as if I was not receiving the proper medical treatment for my injuries. So when such issues where not rectified I was forced to obtain the services of a different attorney.
I strongly believe that the attorney was not familiar with the updated laws, concerning the states responsibility to pay there injured workers. I also feel that the attorney did not work hard enough in requiring the state to provide me with proper treatment. The injury went from initially being diagnosed as a minor injury, as per the state doctor, to the state having to send me to a specialist, who would diagnose my injury as being severe and requiring surgery.
The attorney was nice and was willing to respond to every and all questions that I may have had. I also believe that it may have just been an error In judgment on there part. Lastly, my review is based solely on my experience with a particular attorney, and does not reflect on the firm as a whole.
Upon obtaining a new attorney (from a different firm) I have received all proper medical treatment and the pay issue, all though not resolved yet, has been properly appealed.
