The thing I loved most about working with this office was that, unlike a law firm I dealt with in my first divorce, they answered all my questions promptly and they handled themselves professionally throughout. I am not sure why other users complain about the bill: it costs money to have a lawyer, but I felt like the bill was handled responsibly and they were very reasonable about working with me when I couldn't pay in full one month. I personally went in expecting to spend more, because my ex was unreasonable...but Lynda and her team helped me see when something was worth doing and when it wasn't and we ended up spending less than he did, because they didn't engage in unnecessary things that would increase the bill. We probably finally got him to be reasonable because he was tired of paying his lawyer twice what I was paying for mine, and I got the better deal.

I really love this team! Divorce is a drag, don't get me wrong. However, Lynda and her team not only kept on top of communications & paperwork, but also drove strategy and focus (to both minimize fees and the overall duration of the process). When I first approached Lynda, she advised me about the nature of the process in such a way, that, it set the stage for a focused & efficient relationship. I appreciated that, because it helped me set aside emotions (when interacting with my legal team) and focus on the task at hand. A family member passed away suddenly and there were some tricky estate issues. We didn't even know what we didn't know. We were lost. Fortunately, Lynda and he staff did know and helped us navigate the process, offering professional and compassionate support to the family all along the way.

I suggest you find another lawyer as my experience was not good. I believe I paid $2000 for initial retainer followed by payments of approximately $500. Paid $3675 in total before canning them. They wanted another $3100 for a ’refresher’. Didn’t even meet with our adversaries in a no child, no asset, no alimony divorce. I can say I would not refer this firm to friends or family as I found this to be overly expensive for their services rendered. I also found similar posts about unresolved billing issues (seems to be a common theme with this office), so beware and look for a better lawyer with cheaper rates. If you have money to burn, then go ahead and choose this one...

Absolutely USELESS. Cost me $11,000 for my daughter’s NO ASSET divorce and took over a year to settle. After the divorce we noticed there was no provision in the divorce settlement for wage garnishment if my ex son in law didn’t pay his child support (which he hasn’t). We called Kelly Newman to ask her to revise this and she refused saying we still owed an additional $7,000. I contacted Lynda Hinkle to try and resolve this and she told me not to contact her again until the additional money was paid. I thought a female attorney would have been a little sympathetic, but was I wrong. It was all about the money.

Been with this firm for about 7 months. My sister was getting a divorce and we paid 10,000 so far . We started to ask questions about the billing and immediately dropped from this firm. We were not allow to go to over our bill. They wouldn’t answer our phone call. I went in the the office with questions and they called the police on me. I was treated so badly by these lawyers. I never disrespected them and they were mad because we started asking questions. Don’t allow them to take advantage of you. We spent all that money and still no divorce.
