DO NOT GO TO THESE SCUMBAGS! I was appointed Luber for a rogue & vagabond case and was charged $2000. The day of the court date luber came up to me and told me the DA “wasn’t budging” and that she was set on a disposition of 6 months jail time. Luber proceeded to tell me that it would be “only a 90 day sentence with good time” even after the fact I told him I had a job, apt and full responsibilities and that I wanted to avoid jail time at all costs. I was fine with that seeing that I had already served 27 days in York county’s detention center waiting for Harford county’s expedition to come and get me. I also served 23 days in HCDC before I bailed out from this case. So I would only serve about a month out of a 6 month sentence. I told Luber that before the disposition and he told the judge about it and the judge stated he will reopen the case for modifications after Luber gets the proper paper work from York county’s clerks office. Fastforward to a month in my sentence Luber still hasn’t gotten the proper paperwork from the clerk in York county. I had my wife call his offices everyday for 3 whole months to make him get me the time credited. Every time he would tell her he’s working on that and to call back tomorrow to check up on whats happening. Long story short I ended up serving a extra 27 days because this scumbag wouldn’t do his job. Go to somebody else, these guys have a bad rap inside of the detention and outside for “throwing people under the bus”. I didn’t want to believe it until it happened to me. Don’t waste your money on these guys. Hope this helps the next guy.

I was facing a 2nd degree assault charge and went to a public defender. The public defender did nothing. Barely looked at my case and made minimal attempt to contact me and fight my case. Two appearances in District Court. Offered 5 years probation with jail time. Violation of probation would mean doing up to 10 yrs in prison.
