Mr. Washington worked very hard and very professionally to get the best and most appropriate outcome for my court proceedings. He convinced the judge to give me a chance at treatment instead of sending me to prison. Thanks to Mr. Washington, the treatment program, and judges today I have a little over two years clean and have a healthy, happy, productive life. The things Mr. Washington made possible for me is more valuable than any amount of money. Highly reccomend!!!

This lawyer will do the bare minimum. You will do most of your communication through his assistant and you will have to advocate to make sure they do not miss something. While at trial I felt rushed and hurried to get it settled and I definitely felt I was a bother. On the other hand Brad Groene called me back twice with feedback on my case and I was not even his client.

So I briefly texted with Mr. Washington about my case and he agreed to represent me for a flat fee. I told him I would need a little time to get the funds together and sent him a text letting him know I was ready to retain his services. After sending the text though, I decided I should probably do some research on my potential attorney. I saw the reviews about how bad he was and his lack of communication and realized I didn’t want to hire him. The funny thing though was those reviews were spot on because he never even bothered to contact me back so I could hire him. I have heard of attorneys that take your money and then are hard to reach after that but this guy wouldnt even call me back to take my money! Don’t waste your time or money. Too many other good attorneys out there with much better reviews.

Absolutely horrible! He filed a motion for judicial release for my fiancé and got paid $1,000 dollars just to write two sentences in the motion. I tried to keep it very professional when emailing him and asked him to include certain things and he treated me as if I was a nuisance. He did nothing I asked of him and didn’t even tell us the motion was denied. I had to keep myself and my fiancé updated. I wish I would have read the reviews before we paid him. I will never make that mistake again. It seems as though he has lost his passion and is just scheming people for their money. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt and he kept on disappointing me. WE UNDERSTAND JUDICIAL RELEASES AREN'T ALWAYS GRANTED BUT WE HIRED AN ATTORNEY TO PUT UP A FIGHT AND HE DID NOT DO THAT. HE DOESNT HAVE MICH TIME LEFT SO WE WILL BE OKAY I JUST WANTED TO MAKE IT CLEAR HE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND HAS A HORRIBLE WORK ETHIC.

This attorney is a crook!!!! This will be a long review. Last year, I hired him to represent my bf, which he charged me $700 to do so. Fine, okay I get that. Well, Everytime we saw him/spoke to him on the phone, it was always "I need more money to do this and that." Well, this past time, he took yet another $300 from us so he could clear up the warrant my bf had (which was Washington's fault because he told my bf it wasn't necessary to come to court that last time; he had supposedly got a continuance). Not ONLY did he not notify my bf of the warrant he had, but he claimed that my bf would have to appear with him to get it straightened out. Okay, fine. Well, my bf has called him non-stop to ask him to get it on the docket to get it out of the way. Washington swore he'd get him on the docket the first time we spoke to him. That never happened. Washington kept spinning us, not returning calls, and when he did answer, he gave excuse after excuse. So, we disputed the charge on the card we used to pay this thief. He basically just pocketed our money and wasn't going to do the work. We got our money back and fired him today. He is not an attorney you want! He's not only a crook with nickel and diming you, but he is just flat out rude as well. I do NOT recommend this crook! As a lawyer, you work for the CLIENT. You don't talk down to your clients, and you definitely don't pocket money and not do the work. I will also be reporting Washington to the BAR Association. He was extremely unethical, and if you want to be stolen from and treated like garbage, then hire him, but I'd advise anyone reading this to steer clear!

I really liked David S. Washington Jr. UNTIL HE RIPPED ME OFF!! Constantly asks for money EVERY time I visit with him. He fought my case for almost a year. When I hired another lawyer and we looked at my court documents. We realized, after paying this man alot of money, that he never filed one document in the court on my behalf. He is a terrible lawyer. I don't advise anyone to use this guy!! If anybody knows how I can get my noney back from this joker please inform me!!

Do not use Joe. Charge me for work he messed up on then a year later still got nowhere

I was charged with DWI back in January 2017. Washington did do a great job handling my case, and he was able to drop the charge to reckless driving. However, this was a happening in which a check was involved. I had recently talked to the secretary on the phone. I was told that he was not there to talk, and that he would call me back, for he was at lunch. No call was received, and I called back a couple hours later that same day. I felt the secretary to be slightly short with me when I asked to see him in person, because he was unable to talk me over the telephone. I was put on hold, and Washington picked the phone up. He was now eating lunch over the telephone, and did not help with the issue I have. I have a clean record, and Washington did not display any concern about what I needed to talk to him about. He was eating on the phone. I did ask to set up an appointment to talk to him, however the secretary instead sent the call to Washington.

I did not expect to be friends with Washington, and was only seeking advice after the probation officer told me something along the lines of me having to either talk to Washington, or go back to the courthouse to reinstate my license. I felt very disrespected, and felt I was being treated as lesser of an individual.

I have had cases with Jeremy Evans (excuse any misspelling) and he never hesitated to speak with me, and always called back. He never was eating food over the telephone when speaking with me. Evans had also helped me a lot with the cases I have had with him as my lawyer. Evans also gave me advice on a case he was not a part of. Advice given strictly just to help me as an individual. Evans displayed concern without a check in front of him.

Washington may help your case, and I feel he did a great job with mine. After the experience with the secretary telling me he would call back, and me receiving no call back, and Washington eating food as he talked, gave me personal insight on the concern of his clients.

Judge Joyce Campbell will allow any person to go to her courtroom after the case is done, just to get advice, or to talk to her for a moment. Her time is valuable. I mention this only to give context to the importance of one persons time versus another.

I would not recommend Washington, unless Evans is unavailable. That was the reason I chose to go with Washington. I felt devalued, and disrespected by Washington and the secretary when trying to contact Washington.
