The facts: 1) called 3x times, leaving a voice message each time, and did not receive a return call. 2) Emailed and did not receive a call back. Finally, on my 5th attempt to contact, did I connect. It is telling that the organization is changing their name to Altitude Community Law, a feeble attempt at rebranding. Same poor customer service, with a new name. The lone bright spot, A special shout out to Agusta Heyes, she helped me to resolve my issue timely. I really appreciate her follow up.

If I could give this firm a minus five stars I would. In my opinion this outfit will do anything for the almighty buck. To name a few, one of their attorneys decided to take on a cease and desist against me because a couple of our HOA board members didn't like that I was simply telling the truth. A small amount of due diligence before taking this on would have shown the cease and desist would not hold up. In another, They placed a lien on a homeowner property that did not have the required board votes. One of the partner's provided an "opinion" that merely agreed with the President of the Board rather than the HOA Covenant. That is really easy to prove. One of the attorney's at HS was willing to lie to a homeowner attorney. When I contacted the Colorado Supreme Court,I learned that this is an ethics violation. Based on my experience and opinion this firm seems to gravitate to the more unseemly HOA boards. The good thing for our community is that the behavior of one of the board members finally escalated to the point where they legally could no longer attend meetings.

These "people" are ruining genuine peoples lives. They will put you in a situation where it will be more expensive to defend yourself. They represent HOA's that abuse power and sue you claiming thousands in attorneys fees.

Attorneys here DO NOT WORK. I asked if i could come to their office and make my payment in full and they REFUSED!!! Told me their office was to far away for me to drive!!! (5miles) They then proceeded to ignore my requests at mitigation. I hired my own attorney and they refused his requests to resolve my issues. Their response time was usually, if ever, 10-16 weeks. BUT of course they continue to bill for their non existent "services" and charge late fees. CRIMINALS

Absolute joke of a law office. They will repeatedly hang up on you, transfer you around in circles and offer absolutely nothing in terms of handling business.
It’s a shame that the Highlands Ranch HOA uses these clowns, EMBARRASSING.
I’m guessing they toast champagne over these negative reviews.

Be sure to document everything that is said between you and this firm. All mail should be certified, all phone calls recorded. They will lie to you, get information wrong, and try to make more money off you no matter what. This firm is malicious and, at times, incompetent. They do not serve the HOAs or the homeowners, they serve the HOA management companies.

This is a law firm that recently changed its name to Altitude Community Law. This firm specializes in homeowner associations and you will not be disappointed. They also have a great educational offerings for licensed Community Association manager and property managers on a monthly basis. They are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I think their greatest strength that is second to their knowledge of the law is the realness of the attorneys that work there.

This law firm sickens me. The most corrupt, scumbags in the legal profession today and the courts and our legal system allow predators like this to exist.

Worst law office I ever dealt with. It is like dealing with a kindergarten class!

This place is ridiculous. Very unprofessional, very unorganized. Do not use any of their services. What a joke of a law firm.

I received a letter from this firm claiming I did not have approval to paint my house, but I do. Also they said they represented my HOA, but when I contacted the HOA, the HOA told me that lawyers were not involved and that they had my application for painting the house.

A special shout out for Agusta Heyes. She is thorough, patient, and very helpful. She represents the epitome of customer service. If you have to deal with this firm, start your dialogue with Agusta. You will be glad you did.

Lack of follow up or any sense of professionalism or customer service. It's no wonder they consistently receive negative reviews. You would think they'd want to address this problem & improve their image.

Bill Short is the type of lawyer who gives them all a bad name. Thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and a total blowhard. Arrogant and puts his ego ahead of his client. This firm is full of debt collectors pretending to be lawyers. Awful

Comming to an HOA near you! Raising fees for their profit why else would you hire them?

I have worked with HindmanSanchez for over 7 years and they are a great HOA legal firm. They are up-to-date on all HOA rules, their collection team is super and if you have to go to court, you want them on your side. They hold seminars to educate HOA managers and they are always available if you have questions or need a rule of law regarding an HOA. If you don't like them, then that must mean they are doing their job!

They take my payments which I make on time but this company can NEVER give you a balance after any payment. I have requested a pay-off amount to see if it lines up with my records and I keep getting told that they have to request it. It's been two months since I have asked. I went in on Friday Oct 14th and they told me I would have the balance on Monday, Oct 17th. I called in and the lady that takes care of my account says," Oh, I just got back from vacation..." but still no balance. She said it will be sent sometime this week! WOW.

Since when has America become the Soviet Union where your every move, how you live, what you do in your backyard or inside your house, and what kind of car you drive become the subject of scrutiny of the neighborhood "snitch" and "busy-body" who reports every minuscule transgression (or perceived transgression) which precipitates a barrage of "violation notices", fines, and possible legal action from the power-hungry HOA's??? Is this George Orwell's 1984 or what ???

These "lawyers" (pronounced "thieves") have charged me $110,000 (so far) for a 4-foot length of roof trim whose paint was peeling. These people are not human ...and they do not deserve to be treated as humans.

Horrible and Shady! Its been a years since you tried to steal my property from the bank. I'm glad I did research. They racked up over $10,000 in legal fees, knowing I didn't have the money. They charged me $250 to research my property address. A bunch or greedy lawyers who are trying to steal property's to make a profit when you fall behind with HOA's. I reported them to the States Attorney office, and I will keep doing it until something is done to look into how they are operating.

These guys are evil. Cut throat to the max and they don't care about anyone. There's a reason they're in HOA law and its not to help anyone's community. They simply have no compassion for anyone. If you find yourself behind the gun on HOA payments, you're dead.. They'll sue you, garnish you, do whatever they want without compassion. They simply don't care. I was in negotiations with them trying to find payment arrangements and they straight up lied. Good luck. If you take a look at the reviews you'll find similar issues across the board with lots of other people. So to say my issue was "unique" is a stretch, and I would say that the person responding to me probably works for the firm and is just posting non-sense.

Naturally any homeowner that is on the other end of a legal battle will find fault in an attorney. I would like to comment on the industry and Association side of the equation. It has been a pleasure to work with this firm. They have gone above and beyond to ensure HOA managers and HOA Boards are educated and up to date on all of the changing legislation regarding HOA's. It is the job of an Association attorney to assist the Association in collecting assessments, enforcing the documents and drafting documents so the Association is in compliance with the ever changing laws. From an Association stand point they are an outstanding law firm and as an HOA Manager i would recommend their team.

I contacted Hindman Sanchez to discuss my HOA legal question. They used to represent this HOA but did not in my communications with them have a current engagement letter in 2014 so in my understanding they did not have a formal client attorney relationship with them. I asked them to delete my confidential request for information with attorney Melissa Garcia and instead she violated the confidential nature of my request for consultation by forwarding my confidential conversation to another HOA attorney in a completely different firm now representing my HOA in 2014. Unethical on many levels. I asked by email for her to explain herself and she did not reply. Filing a bar complaint as we speak without any explanation from Hindman Sanchez or attorney Melissa Garcia. Consumer beware of the ethics of this firm. Even though I did not have a signed engagement letter, forwarding confidential information provided in good faith to one firm then having that firm forward it to another firm that actually was representing my HOA is unethical in my opinion. Consumers decide on your own.
