My case did not turn out the way that I’d hoped. Sonny was able to reduce the total tax amount owed, however, I still owe an amount that I’ll never be able to personally pay back. Some of the timelines were beyond his control; however, it was a painful process to have dragged out only to conclude that we still owed a very large sum of money. I’m still left having to determine what to do with the money owed, figuring out a payment plan with the IRS, etc., none of these steps are easy for laypeople to navigate through. He did help, but it wasn’t a silver bullet solution to eliminate personal liability for business expenses. It seems as though he could have fought for the unjust conclusion of the IRS (to hold me personally liable for legitimate business expenses regardless of the business’s S-Corp filing status). Outcome is less than favorable.
