I always felt Brittaney & team tried to support me in making this happen, while I had the clear sense my X-spouse's lawyer did anything she could to drag it out and ultimately bring it to court, while the invoices kept coming. Throughout the process my X-spouse started to feel the same about her representation, and I don't think there could be a more powerful compliment to my Dream Team, when she stated: "If I was ever to go through a divorce again, I would hire your Dream Team". Thank God I would not be on the receiving end if that was ever to happen again:-). As my X-spouse and I went through the final stages of our settlement, she asked me if we could just use my Dream Team, and eliminate her lawyer.

Several years after I had a home go into foreclosure, I started getting statements from a mortgage company that had carried my equity line of credit. I thought that it had been so long that it was past the statute of limitations. However, I started getting very anxious that I would be liable for repayment of this mortgage. I began researching statutes of limitations on line and found an article written by Mr. Mike Smeenk. I decided to call him for a consultation. I spoke at first to Julia Occhuizzo who patiently listened to me as I tried to explain my problem and concerns. When she thought she understood she told me that she would set up a phone consultation with Mr. Smeenk. She sent me an email outlining the documentation they would need from me and confirming a phone consultation time. At the time of the consultation Mike ( that’s how he introduced himself ) was very professional, clearly had read all the material I had sent him and much to my relief confirmed that It was past the statute of limitations. I hired this firm to write up a simple contract that should have taken about a week, if that. Instead the attorney kept sending emails, calling, etc. and running up a bill. To date the bill is almost $1500.00. Finally he sent a copy and the Promissory Note was correct in that it didn't allow over 10K. The deed of trust on the other hand was also written at 10K when I was owed 155K. This was sloppy and wrong. I'm just glad I didn't have it signed and notarized!

After giving the $500 deposit(for $275/hour) Ben Daniels met with me for 40 minutes(after being 30 minutes late). After not moving forward, Ben had nerve to charge a total of ~$625 despite not doing any more work than initial 40 minute meeting and writing 1 quick email in response to a call. Would not recommend.

Her deposition techniques completely flummoxed the other side and its witnesses so that we essentially proved our case via their testimony. She counseled us along the way so that our expectations were always managed expertly.
