I came to Darby Law for representation for a chapter 13 bankruptcy. I was nervous and worried about my case, but after my first consultation with Tricia Darby I knew I had found the right attorney to represent me. Tricia was extremely easy to talk to and listened intently to my unique case. Bankruptcy is a wicked ordeal to go through and you MUST have representation or your pretty much doomed. Even after my BK was discharged I had a lien that needs to be removed from out of state, Tricia handled all of it with absolute resolve until it was taken care of. What can I possibly say that would convey how highly I think of Tricia Darby and staff?!
I knew I was in financial trouble when my credit cards started being declined. I did the math and there was no way I could ever catch up and pay off my cards. The minimum payments were so high that I again had to use my cards to buy gas, propane for my home, maintenance problems that came up, etc. And yes, I did it to myself but the cards were also to blame in a way. They kept raising my available credit—one card raised my limit to $25,000 knowing my yearly income was about $22,000!! By the time I realized how bad my situation was I was about $500 a month in the hole without even considering food or gas or emergencies.
When I first pulled up to the office I thought “oh, oh I must have picked the most expensive bankruptcy lawyer in town” ( I came because of all the positive Yelp reviews)— but don’t judge a book by its cover—I was able to pay the down payment with my first month of not having to pay my card minimums! And even though they’ll accept payments for the balance I was able to pay that off with my second month of not paying minimums!!
Needless to say, I have been given a new lease on life with Tricia’s kind, non-judgemental help!!!

After 20 years in Management with my company I was forced to step down to a full time position which cut my income by half.
