Well, I wanted to file for SSDI based on a rare eating disorder I have. Mr. Thompson did take my case and he was very nice, but then later told me he felt it wouldn't be successful and declined to pursue it. No biggie, because many other attorneys said the same thing. But I didn't give up. So guess what? I took it upon myself to go to a Neuropsychiatrist at Johns Hopkins, paid $1,000 to be properly evaluated and filed an SSDI claim and got approved without a hearing. It turns out my disorder is in the DSM-V as ARFID, formerly called "Eating disorder of infancy not otherwise specified", It's been a true burden to deal with my entire life, including the shame factor that goes along with it. You see, it's so rare that most attorneys didn't want to touch it. I guess I didn't need an attorney after all! Well guys, I got all the money, you lose!

I have worked with Jim Thompson on 2 guardianships. He is always well prepared, understands his client's interest and clearly conveys the message to the judge. The rulings and orders in those two cases were exactly what the clients desired.
