Harry represented my brother in 2015 and again in 2017 when his ex-wife tried to modify the custody agreement. There is no other way to put this than explaining that his ex-wife wanted full custody and wanted my brother to be involved as little as possible in my niece and nephew’s lives. If my brother did not see the children very often, then there would not have been much opportunity for me to see my niece (also my God daughter) and nephew either, but now I am able to see them very frequently. A lot of this is thanks to Harry. My brother was represented by someone else and he was not seeing the children as much as he wanted and he was extremely distraught about this. Not long after Harry took his case, my brother got the outcome he was looking for and he now has half custody of his children. They are great children and are doing well now - they are very happy to spend lots of time with their dad and our extended family. Thanks Harry.

Harry represented my brother and helped to turn his case around. I would like to thank him personally as this has resulted in me to be very active in my niece and nephew's lives. I can honestly say that my brother is so happy to have split custody of his children and none of our family believes that he would have split custody unless he hired Harry. My brother was involved in a highly contentious custody case. Without him having half custody, my opportunities to see my niece and nephew would have certainly been very limited. Hiring the wrong divorce attorney when custody is disputed will not only affect the client, it will affect the extended family as well. I am so happy Harry was able to help my brother achieve half custody when Harry was able to obtain a settlement. Thanks Harry!

Harry Siegel represented my son. I met with Harry and another attorney (who I will not name in this review) that my son had been working with and it was a night and day difference. My son was so distraught when he settled for less than half custody in a preliminary hearing with a previous attorney. I actually have never seen him this upset in his entire life. His previous attorney specifically told him, you don’t want to go to settlement with that judge, as she does not like men. Not only did Harry help him achieve half custody, he also indicated that the judge at the preliminary hearing was completely fair and impartial. Had my son know that, he would have never agreed to the terms for the preliminary hearing. This is why it is critical to have the correct lawyer from day one. The important thing is that Harry did help my son to get half custody, and my son cherishes every second he has his children. His kids are the most important thing in his life, and he is much happier. We were glad we found Harry because my son is in a good place with his life now and we get to see the children frequently. We are a close family. Thank you Harry!

In my opinion, Harry Siegel is the best attorney in Howard County. He has extensive knowledge of the law, the judges, the masters, and other practicing attorneys. He keeps cost down by using a team, and he genuinely cares about families, and the impact of divorce on them. He is responsive to emails and calls. It is critical that you have an attorney like Harry that will respond to emails on the weekends if you case is complicated. In my opinion, if you are going through a divorce, you SHOULD NOT consider any other attorney until you first speak to Harry Siegel. And, by the way, he does not charge for an initial consultation. As a matter of fact, I spoke on the phone with Harry for quite some time before I came into the office, and then came in and met with him for about 2 hours and he did not charge me for either of those initial parts of the case. I believe others have shared the same positive experience that I have had with Harry Siegel. He has like 20 years+ experience.

Harry Siegel represented by son. When he was previously represented by another (unnamed firm), things were not going well for my son’s case. Specifically, at the pendente lite trial with a different lawyer, he wound up settling for less than half custody. Not long after Harry Siegel started representing my son, he wound up with ½ custody of his children, something I truly believe he deserved as a father. My husband George and I get to see my grandchildren all of the time, and I truly believe that would not be possible without Harry’s representation of my son. We are a close family, and my son’s children have many young cousins there age that they get to see often. We even took the entire extended family to Orlando and all went to Disney together for spring break 2016. I met with and was interviewed by Harry in preparation for the trial which never happened because Harry was able to get a settlement (thankfully). After the settlement, I took the time to write Harry a thank you card for keeping my grandchildren in my life. My thanks were sincere and I have referred others to Harry as well. Again thank you Harry!

I met with Harry Siegel for a free initial consultation regarding a family case. The meeting was set up promptly. He was actually referred to me by a very good friend, who had good results when Harry represented him in his complicated divorce and custody case. Our first meeting, which we were not charged for, was well over an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable about divorce law, child custody, and the court system. He is extremely professional, courteous and I found him to be extremely sensitive regarding our situation, and he cares about parents’ rights. He provided great guidance on how to keep records related to matters involving this legal situation. Additionally, he emphasized what the protocol for communication between all parties involved in the case should be. He also knows the judges and can advise you on how he feels the outcome of your case will be, based on the information you provide him. Having advice from an attorney with that kind of experience is essential. I would recommend Harry.

I had a highly contentious divorce and was initially losing my case badly with my previous counsel. I switched to Michael Milstein’s firm after my previous counsel tried to convince me that being an every other weekend parent isn’t so bad. Yea, no thanks.

Immediately after hiring Michael, he and his team including his associate Emily and the team of paralegals did an outstanding job turning things around. Michael’s relationships and knowledge of the Howard County Court system is unmatched, and does a truly amazing job when faced in front of a judge at in-person hearings. In my case, he won all the major motions with the added benefit of embarrassing my ex-spouse in the process.

Closer to my final trial date, we won several big motions that destroyed my ex-spouse’s credibility and sympathy with all of the judges and strongly improved my position for trial. Our case settled a couple weeks before trial and I ended up with 50/50 custody, all three of my real-estate properties, no alimony, and the minimum child support per the state guidelines. This was a far cry from the 2 out of 14 days my prior atty was trying to prepare me for. My only regret is not hiring Michael initially.

Michael Milstein is amazing. He rescued my case from an extremely poor and unqualified lawyer, Beth Rodgers. Michael ensures you remain focused and goal driven. I will recommend Michael to everyone I know.

I had the wrong perception of Siegellaw. Please take your business elsewhere. Mr. Siegel’s billing methodology is bizarre and unrealistic. He’s money hungry and will rip you off especially if your divorcing spouse is uncompromising...
Do not do business with this law firm.
If zero stars were possible that’s what I would have given them. I previously gave them a 5 stars and then got screwed! he’s simply bad news!

Michael Milstein filed court filings with errors in them one after the other until I decided to personally review all of the work I was paying him thousands of dollars to do. Make sure to read word for word as he copy/pastes all his previous filings and can't even be bothered to update the clients or children's name correctly in half of them!

When you are going through the most difficult and stressful experiences of your life, you must have the very best counsel you can find. Look no further than Harry Siegel's firm. Harry has guided me through very treacherous and difficult waters - always easing my anxiety and concerns. He is incredibly intelligent and knows the legal system and players like nobody else. This also means he has hired a fantastic team of attorneys, including now-partner Michel Milstein and associate Myriem Seabron that bring their own special expertise and outstanding counsel. While Harry is tough, he will never compromise class and professional conduct. Finally, he and his wife Gayle, who helps manage the firm, are two of the kindest people you will meet. All of these factors will help you survive the arduous process of your family law issues.

I can also vouche for the authenticity of the other Michael Milstein review. As he dragged my case out he told me repeatedly to just pay what I can and everything was fine as long as I was paying what I could. At the 11th hour he then used that as leverage to force me to sign an agreement that was in no way in my best interests, of course he and the opposing attorney had ran up extravagant costs at this point. I also urge anyone using Michael to make sure everything is in writing, in fact I would urge to not answer the phone at anytime and use email exclusively.

Regardless of my personal thoughts on Michael MIlstein, I want to ensure that current and future clients are aware of a few things. First and foremost, get everything in email/writing. If Michael tells you something that doesn't seem in your best interests, email asking him to confirm the statement. Ask him for all correspondence from the opposing attorney when received. There is a reason he tells his clients that he doesn't like email and will always try to call or do in person meetings. Protect yourself and leave a paper trail otherwise you leave yourself open to manipulation.

Harry is an exceptional attorney. He walked into a mess and made an immediate impact. His presence was felt right away by the opposing side. We had a best interest attorney named Meg Oliver who had been very dishonest and inappropriate during the process. She had alienated my son and was really causing a lot of extra expense, unnecessary negativity, and stress. When Harry came on and called her out she basically faded into the scenery. Harry is tough and yet he knows when its best to compromise. I am very impressed and will work with him for all of my family law needs in Maryland.

I called the Siegel to schedule a free consultation to speak to someone about a family law situation. Harry Siegel met with me and offered my great advice for the free consultation. I felt he was looking out for my best interest rather than looking to hire another client. I fully recommend Harry Siegel as a competent family law attorney that will look out for your best interest in legal matters.
