I submitted an online request for for a simple 15 over (70 in a 55) ticket, that I was looking to get reduced to 9 over so it would not affect my NC insurance. The next day an employee of the firm called me to quote $500--750 depending on which attorney I used. When I questioned the fee, she told me they were stress free and implied they didn't need my business.
$500-$750 + fine + court cost is outrageous for a minor traffic citation, likely this is because I told them I was from out of town and they knew it was inconvenient for me to travel back and request a trial.
