LSNV saved the day!
I had a very complicated case that required two different attorneys, in two separate jurisdictions.
I was completely overwhelmed before LSNV agreed to help.
Both attorneys were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I don’t want to think of what could have happened if they weren’t advocating for myself and my child.
You guys are heroes!

Dreadful. Approached LSNV with Elder care Medicaid/Medicare health assistance downgrade problem two months old, patiently waited almost one month more to see an attorney, and was then routed to. Bankruptcy lawyer who had NO credentials in Healthcare law at all! Hence, she (Pitts) could not read formal docs, then was out of office, and routed me 2 emails displaying misunderstanding of VA Appeals process, ignorant of State recommendation of attorney presence at any 'Appeal Hearing' for recipients, and also appeared not to relevant dates correct either--understandable in a volunteer attorney with no field credentials, out of office for more than week, conducting own separate law office bankruptcy work for pay, etc.

Take way: do NOT rely on LSNV for any public health benefits problem that an unskilled attorney can't handle by quick phone calls, rather than looking at Law, regs and actually preparing to represent. Equates, if you are poor, to inadequate or non-representation of senior rights. Shape up, LSNV.

No stars for this place. They don't answer the phones and a legal aid I spoke with on the phone was very rude and disrespectful to me.

They do not return calls or emails. String you along for months with their own issues and point out that your case is not a priority. Maybe they are working here because they cannot cut it at a real firm or they are like interns in the medical world trying to get experience before entering the real world.

If time is money, this free service is the most expensive service around.
