Excellent Team of Attorneys. I hired Antonoplos & Associate for a partnership dispute I was involved with. My partner was stealing money from the business and had locked me out of the office. I contacted Antonoplos & Associates and scheduled a meeting with Mr. Antonoplos. Immediately on meeting with Peter I was impressed. Peter explained to me my legal options and within a few days of hiring the firm, my case was underway. I am pleased to say that Peter was able to get me a successful outcome for my case, and I was able to continue to do what I love which is run my business. Would not reccomend for small business owners. I received zero contact after they received the retainer. Requests for contract review were blatantly ignored, emails and voice messages went unanswered despite multiple attempts.

Antonoplos & Associates are the best! From handling my father’s probate matter after my sister screwed it up years earlier, to the civil law suit that followed, to my estate planning, Antonoplos & Associates were on top of things. When I first met Peter, I was a nervous wreck. Peter looked me in the eyes and said “I got this. You have nothing to worry about”. And he was right. All I had to do was sit back and let Peter and his staff do their thing. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and smart. In other words, they know their stuff.

After seeing how Antonoplos & Associates handled my father’s probate matter, I wanted them to help me with my estate planning. I decided to do a living trust. When I received the documents, I went to all the places that I do business with to have my accounts converted to a living trust. The first bank I went to I told the manager what I wanted. She looked at me and started rattling off names of documents that I needed and suggested that I consult with a lawyer and then come back. As I reached in my backpack to pull out a binder, I told her that I have no clue what she asked for but hopefully it was in the binder. As I slid the binder across the desk, her mouth hit the floor. As she flipped through the pages, she said that she never seen trust documents as nice and organized as the one Antonoplos & Associates prepared for me. She’s used to customers coming in with documents in boxes, bags, or in hand. I went to two other banks and the exact same thing happened.

The trust documents prepared by Antonoplos & Associates was in a hardback padded binder with tabbed documents and a cover letter describing each document. I have to admit, my mouth hit the floor when I saw it.

Overall, I highly recommend Antonoplos & Associates.

This team deserve 5 stars and no one who has actually hired these lawyers would disagree. So... here is my honest feedback as an actual client. (I posted this on yelp and I'm posting it here too)

The good:

1) You're getting serious brain power. Mr. Antonoplos quickly sees solutions that nobody else thinks about. Because of his training, he understood my case from a business and legal perspective, and that is what ultimately won my case for me.

2) You're getting local experts. I hired Mr. Antonoplos (even though I live in TN) for a complicated issue over family property in DC. His understanding of the local economy and the local real estate industry made opposing counsel look like a lost puppy.

3) Even though I found their rates to be a little bit higher, they were more efficient in handling my case. The first lawyer I hired (who I decline to review) required a lower retainer at the start and said he would charge me at a lower hourly rate... then he charged me $50,000, made serious mistakes, and wasn't able to resolve my case at all. The Antonoplos folks jumped right in, figured out the right answer, and was able to pressure the other side to settle in my favor.

The only thing I would say is that you have to be patient. They're a small firm and communication is not always immediate. Sometimes my emails would not be responded to right away, but I was always able to schedule a call or a meeting when I needed to discuss my case.

Overall, they did really excellent work for me. I am grateful I found them and cannot recommend them highly enough. A big thank you to Peter and everyone on the A-Team!!

I recently sought out Peter in connection with a real estate transaction that I was contemplating -- multiple parties involved, with numerous complexities attached, all related to the upcoming sale of my DC condo. I was also on a very short deadline. Competent and affordable team of real estate attorneys. Scheduled an appointment with Antonoplos & Associates regarding a commercial real estate problem I have been having with a former business partner of my late husband. I met with Peter Antonoplos to discuss the dispute. Peter presented me with a couple of options regarding the dispute, and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and analysis of the situation. Peter was very patient with me and took the time to explain to me a few options to avoid litigation and the costs involved. I very pleased to report that we were able to resolve the dispute without having to go to court. Peter proved to be effective, competent, and quite affordable. Since then I have used Antonoplos & Associates for another real estate matter with similar success. I have also recommended Peter to a number of friends and have had nothing but positive feedback from them as well. Would strongly recommend them to anyone seeking a capable, affordable attorney.

Unprofessional and arrogant waste of time

Came to Antonoplos with a routine real estate contract matter. We met in person for a free consultation after describing my need using their online inquiry form.

In person, Peter Antonoplos immediately told me not to pursue the contract. No basis, just "don't do it." An attorney's job is not to tell you what to do, but to present available options and describe the risks involved. Peter was the antithesis of this. When pressed to point to any concrete risks or rationale, he made some bogus claims that didn't make any sense.

When his arguments were revealed to be baseless, he resorted to ad hominem attacks. "Did you go to law school? I didn't think so."

Then he bloviated for minutes about conflict of interest, which didn't actually explain anything and should not have been an impediment. Finally he refused to take up the matter. The need had been clearly stated in the initial inquiry, so I have no idea why he accepted the consultation in the first place.

I may not have gone to law school, but I can use logic and spot a rotten apple. I've never seen a lawyer behave so unprofessionally.

All of the other attorneys I talked to about this contract matter immediately offered several possible options and had handled similar cases before.

Went with another firm instead and had no issue. Don't waste your time with Antonoplos & Associates.

I did a simple will, power of attorney, and medical power of attorney with Peter Antonoplos, and could not have been happier. The process was easy and straightforward, while Peter and his team were paragons of professionalism. Earlier today, I called to cancel an appointment as my employee association said this firm was no longer part of the association's network, meaning my personal cost would increase. Peter himself called me approximately ten minutes after my cancellation to let me know an error had occurred on the part of my employee association. I was happy that I will be able to return to this firm, but even happier that they put such a priority on their clients. From start to finish, this firm was, and is, outstanding.

Not only did Peter tell me it's a horrible idea, but also assumed that because I'm Muslim that no one will be willing to invest in my business other than masjid or other muslims? Are you kidding me?!Told me he charges $550/hour and ended our visit. Didn't even let me talk! When I Asked how many years of experience does he have and him telling me "this isn't an interview for me! This is about if I can help you or not!" About a week ago, I visited the offices of Antonoplos and Associates for a scheduled legal consultation. Upon arrival, I filled out the necessary paperwork and was told they were running a little behind schedule and I would have to wait a few minutes. After waiting 30-40 minutes, which was no problem, I was greeted by the managing partner, Peter Antonoplos. We both proceeded to the conference room and discovered it was still occupied. Mr. Antonoplos then apologized and asked me to wait in the office lobby while he secured a different meeting space. After waiting 5 minutes, the receptionist asked me when I was next available as they needed to reschedule. I informed her there must be a mistake because I just spoke with Mr. Antonoplos and he was attempting to setup another meeting space. To my astonishment, she told me he was the one that asked her to reschedule the consultation. Why would I reschedule with someone that displays a blatant disregard for their clients time and plight?

I work in law enforcement and travel about 75 percent of the time. Rescheduling an appointment is not so easy after I already carved out 4 hours of my day for this consultation (re-arranging my work schedule, commuting via public transport to and from the office, and waiting for an extensive period of time). Mr. Antonoplos couldn't even make the 5 second trip from his office to apologize, nor has he or anyone from his office called me since.

Antonoplos and Associates certainly has a stellar reputation as a legal representative, that's why I decided to schedule a consultation there. As a prospective new client, if you are considering Antonoplos and Associates, I recommend asking yourself "can I depend on a legal representative that doesn't value my time and lacks the common courtesy to confront prospective clients directly when there is a scheduling conflict?" I don't know about you, but what's a stellar record without trust and dependability between a client and his/her attorney?

I was referred by a friend that Peter will do good on my real state issues, to be only told on calling the help desk that they only handle commercial real states not residential. Their website says they handle residential real states.... so they should either update their website or correct the person working on the front desk.
