This rating is based on trying to get an appointment to make changes to my will. To be fair, I chose not to use their services so I can't rate them on their actual work but I think it's important to provide this type of feedback to businesses in order for them to know what they need to improve. Called mid-day last week to inquire about their services and had to leave a voicemail. As of 11:00 a.m. the next day I had not received a call back so I called again. Spoke with an assistant who set me up for a conference call with an attorney (scheduled for 2/19). Called into the conference call on time and waited on hold for 5 minutes. I tried calling the Virginia office to see if I was doing something wrong with the conference call thing and no one answered the phone. So I called the DC office and explained that I was waiting to speak with one of the attorneys. The woman who answered the phone (very efficient and helpful) looked up my information and told me she could transfer me to the attorney who was supposed to be on the conference call with me. She transferred me and after a while on hold the attorney answered and he didn't give any indication that he knew why I was calling. When I mentioned that I had a conference call with him scheduled for 4:00 p.m. he said he was, "Running late" and it seemed to me that he wasn't even aware of this appointment. At that point, I realized that I should never have called back in the first place because I had already had an indication that they do not employ the type of professionalism that I expect. I told him that I would be going with another organization for my needs.

We used Bergstrom Attorneys with our legal plan coverage to re-do our wills and estate planning documentation. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful.

These guys are great! I've used Bergstrom Attorneys' a few times and am not only impressed by the variety of legal services offered, but also the variety of services they offer COMPETENTLY! Many law firms would be happy to start from scratch and go outside of their specialty (and bill you to redesign the wheel in the mean time!), but Bergstrom Attorneys seem to have an attorney in one of their offices that are actually ready to go to work on day one.

A few years ago they helped me create a revocable trust for estate planning purposes. I ended up with a much nicer "product" than expected and was impressed by their interest to make sure they were covering all the bases. After seeing the results, it makes printing legal documents from Quicken feel like you just changed the oil on your car with Crisco. Get it done properly!

Most recently they helped me set up a small business. I've seen LLC and corporation documents before and pretty well knew what to expect. I was once again impressed by their interest in not just getting the job done, but also making sure that it was set up in a fashion that will keep up with what I may do in the future. They asked questions I would have never considered needed to be addressed and I received an end-product much nicer and more effective than imagined. Minimizing risk, employee integration, and isolating liability to protect me and my family were all big concerns, and were all addressed thoroughly.
