Not well funded for Malpractice suits and did not refer another?
A waste of time!!!!

Suffering a workplace injury is stressful, scary, and overwhelming. I spent a long time trying to navigate the process with my employer and insurance company on my own. I was so lucky to have found Allen J. Lowe, senior partner of Ashcraft & Gerel. I knew right away that he knew what he was doing and that I would be taken seriously. This process was so stressful, and I can’t imagine what I would have done without him. He always made sure to answer my questions (even if they might have been silly, he knew that they were important to me). I would definitely recommend him to anyone in a similar position, because he will make sure that he will do whatever he can to get you what you need.

I am shocked to be asked for my opinion about Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP and how they handled my accident case, so here it goes. I was disappointed and not pleased with the results. Lawyer Jerry Spitz did a poorly job as my representative.
While injured I saw the Ashcraft & Gerel commercial and thought I should get a lawyer for this accident.
I fell into the lawyer type introduction by signing a lot of paperwork, I guess to lock me in.
I had to meet in Washington D.C., the city where I have high anxieties due to this accident.
Mr. Spitz kept asking how much money I expect to receive. I could not answer that question, I just wanted my life back from before this person hitting me and changing my life.
Terri Dunklee would give me misleading dates & locations while I must travel though D.C. by metro or foot.
Melanie MacDonald is a keeper; she would provide correct information, follow-up via email or phone, explain clearly and kept me updated.
I’ve written a detailed Impact Statement; I sent the lawyers pictures and records of my previous car’s worth.
I indicated how in shape my body was with pictures compared to my ruined life now. I don’t know if any of my information was used for my case.
He had a witness and tried to contact the witness 3 years later, then ask me did I communicated with the witness. That’s his job!
I still suffer from PTSD (per therapist) of driving into Washington D.C., my born city.
Over 4 years later, we are at the negotiation table, he convinces me we could lose this case because of the time, I was ready for this trial in the first year, I wanted to go to trial. This person hit me, police report & the driver admit it, how could I lose. We had a scheduled trial date in 2 weeks. He later told me he would get 40% of the finances if we go to court (it supposed to be 30%). He knew I was on furlough, but he persuaded me to take the money, but he kept reducing the funds to the amount that could pay for my car.
At the mediation & pretrial conference, Mr. Spitz and the defense counsel seems to be too friendly which proved this case will not benefit me.
So I felt like the victim multiple times; for the accident, losing my car, had to buy another safe car, losing my time, money for therapy, fear of driving into Washington D.C., I cannot be physically active without pain, (back, neck & hip). I will be paying for this decision for the rest of my life.
Do not ever use Jerry Spitz or Ashcraft & Gerel!

Im using Allen Lowe, from Ashcraft and Gerel. I needed a good Workers comp attorney, to help me out in DC. I had used their MD firm, a couple of years ago, with good success. I was very confident that their office in DC, would do the same.

Allen was there to help me, by phone, email, and quickly answered all of my questions from my case. His assistant Dawn was very helpful as well. They communicated with me, kept me in the loop, and informed me of dates, and things I needed to have ready to persue my case. I contacted this firm almost two and half weeks ago about a possible malpractice case and never heard from anyone. I answered all the questions I wanna say"Jessica" " asked. Of course this is one of the times I can't find the info I wrote. I was extremely emotional during this conversation I used this Firm back in the 80's and won my case this is the reason I reached out to them on this one. So disappointed
