My review is long overdue. About a year ago I was moving here from Tennessee and was stopped for speeding and given a reckless driving citation on Hwy 66 in Fairfax County. At the time my wife had just completed cancer surgery and I was talking to her as she was still in the recovery phase. (Yes I was there for her when the surgery was done) So I was certainly distracted as I was flowing with traffic. I never noticed my speed until I saw the police lights behind me. New job, wife in recovery, long way from home and now this! Didn't know what to do so I looked at reviews and saw the great ones for Gordon Law Firm. I didn't know anyone here so I had to take a chance. Immediately they began to help reassure me that it was going to be OK. They worked with me over the next month or so and I ended up not getting the reckless driving charge. these guys are MIRACLE WORKERS. My driving record was at a -7 when I totaled my car. I was charged with reckless driving, didn’t even realize it was a reckless driving charge until 6 days before my court date. I thought for sure I’d have to pay a hefty fine, or at least have my license suspended. I was hoping it would be reduced to something non criminal... well to my surprise I got an email the day of my court date saying that the charges have been dismissed!!! I’d like to help everyone by posting this review. I drove with 81mph where the limit was 55mph. I was unlucky to get pulled over by police, and i got fined with a reckless driving ticket. At the beggining I didn’t knew how really bad was it, but then I asked some friends about it. When I found how bad it was I got really nervous cause. I didn’t knew what to do, and what lawyer to get for the court. I’ve found the gordon law firm and i called for help. They offered to help me, and they told me what i had to do. I went to a driving improvement school at (ADJ Driver Improvement Center) wich was really easy.

I was daft enough to travel 80 in a 55 in Fairfax County - my own fault and I deserved to get stopped. However, the Fairfax county process for this speed is a summons, possible misdemeanor record, points, up to a year in jail, and a large fine. I had no idea! I'm very glad I chose this firm to represent me in a traffic court case! My e-mails were all replied to in no more than one business day. They work with you to determine how to convey yourself as a good citizen to the judge and/or the Commonwealth (our equivalent of "the DA," for those unfamiliar with Virginia law).

Definitely 5 stars. For me, the retainer cost was well worth it - I would have ended up paying that much on taxis, DMV fees, higher auto insurance premiums, etc. if the judge had suspended/restricted my driver's license. Not being convicted of a crime, and possibly going to jail, is nice too.
