I had a horrible experience with Philip Griffin in January 2019. He accepted my case when I was being sued for a cat that was purchased together with my ex. The cat was in my ownership but my name is not on the adoption papers but I had proof of financial ownership. The cat was left in my possession when my ex left and three months later she changed her mind and wanted the cat from me. Long story short, Philip never took my case seriously he was very poor at communication, his associate Paul tricked me into first thinking he was representing me. Watch out when you go in to meet with Philip. They first present you to Paul who gives you the impression that he will be representing you. But that is not the case, Philip is the legal representative and Paul is his handyman. Throughout the 4 and 1/2 month legal battle to keep my cat Philip did not follow up with things like what I wanted to add to my grounds of defense and he would submit my grounds of the defense without me first confirming what I wanted in it. Fast forwarding to the trial date he lost the case and when I was talking to him after we lost he did not give me the confidence and a solid game plan on why we should appeal the case and how specifically we are going to win it! He just acted like he had to go take care of more important things. He was very lazy and was not proactive about defending me. Also, he brought his kid to my trial and when he lost my case I told him to his face how disappointed I am with him. It’s probably good his son saw how NOT to represent people and maybe might want to choose a different career path. Take away that Philip will take any case he can get to make as much money as he can. He is a lazy incompetent lawyer. Don’t bother with this one. Find someone else he can’t even win a cat case...
