I live in indiana and my son of 9 is living with his aunt in Chelyan. This judge has gave her every protective order she has wanted to keep me away from my son with no grounds or proof. She has spoken very rudley to me. And doesn't even know me. I've lived in indiana since 2010 And. Had another baby 2016. My two boys have never met which is sad. It's not like I'm fighting his dad but his dads sister. I have so much proof that ive sent to her and she just doesnt care. Shes an awful judge and shouldnt have this position.

Useless waste of money.

I firmly believe that Lera Vanmeter only won her position because there was no one to oppose her. She screamed during the entire hearing, apologized for the waiting time to only one parties side, when the wait required both parties to wait and was on her and the courthouses' behalf. I've seen her twice and she has behaved as a power hungry person with a feast, screaming, name calling, and was entirely unprofessional (even the opposing side agreed) and that is to say the LEAST. I hope she enjoys it while it lasts because if she treats everyone this way(and judging by the screaming coming from the waiting area during the hearing before ours, she does) then I don't see ANYONE voting for her. I will run MYSELF if I have to, to keep this woman from being in office again.

She's a horrible person and judge. She works for the criminals not the victims. Don't expect a fair trial or a competent judge.
