Ed Ahlers is my attorney for a long term disability claim I have through my employer. This particular insurance company is famous for denying legitimate claims and it's a long difficult fight that many never win. But Ed did just that for me and my case wasn't easy! He worked so hard for me, he's knowledgeable and eager to fight and knows how these insurance companies work. The last appeal letter he sent on my behalf was 9 pages full of facts about my health, documentation backing it up, copies of other legal cases that mirrored mine. After reading it I thought how the heck could they turn me down, it was that good! Before finding him, I spoke with about 7 or 8 other attorneys who heard about my health issues and/or the insurance company I was dealing and decided I wasn't worth their time, that my case would never be approved. But he believed in me and put in the work that lead to my approval. I wish I had found him earlier as I almost gave up. If you are reading this and need an attorney for a long term disability or social security disability claim, you must reach out to him! He knows what needs to be done and will fight for you! I can't thank him enough for all he's done for me, it's been a pleasure working with him and his team!

Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA is the best law firm. I used them from all the positive reviews I read. I was NOT discounted but extremely happy and relieved. My particular reason for using Ed Ahlers was for a Social Security Disability claim. I will start by saying that Ed is strides above any professional that I have worked with. From my first phone call with Ed, he was so impressive for not only his knowledge of the process but how much he truly cared. I don’t think the man ever stops working! A good bit of my communication was email and it seemed that no matter when I emailed him, he responded. I did not have to call him or email him twice, he always was back to me very quickly and many times with extreme detail. From my first initial call with Ed he made me feel like a babe in mama’s arms. I knew that I made the right decision going with Ed to represent me. He was so detailed, so precise in the information sent to the hearing judge that the judge made the ‘YES” decision the day before the hearing, so the hearing was not needed and canceled. I truly feel that Ed went above and beyond for me and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to go through the Social Security Disability process.

Great firm! I was always treated with kindness and respect by Mr Ahlers and his staff, which is not always the case when you’re applying for SSDI. My messages were always returned quickly and my questions were always answered. I would highly recommend Mr Ahlers and his fellow attorneys at Crowley, Ahlers & Roth.

This firm handled the SSDI and long term disability insurance claims for my wife. The staff and attorneys are friendly, helpful and very successful. Her SSDI claim was approved on the initial application without all of the nightmares you hear about when dealing with the SSA. They did a wonderful job for my family and we greatly appreciate it.

You need a bulldog to enforce your rights? After foolishly applying for social security disability myself, and getting rejected, I was referred to Ed Ahlers by Mr. Roth, another attorney at Crowley, Ahlers, and Roth. (Mr. Roth also doggedly worked to get my wife her rightful worker's compensation benefits!) Mr. Ahlers took everything in hand, relieving me of the substantial paperwork burdens required by the SSA. He communicated with my doctor to get the perfect answers to the relevant questions. When an initial appeal resulted in a second denial, I was ready to give up. Instead, Ahlers took it on himself to both boost me and prove to SSA that their analysis was not just wrong but unjust. He filed for direction with an administrative law judge who declared positive judgement for my case. Without Ed, I would be killing myself trying to work again. Instead the judge agreed with him that SSA was absolutely wrong in their denial!

I've known Mr. Ahlers for 10 years know on a professional level and more recently as a client. Being a former office manager I met Ed in the fall of 2006 when he referred a Bwc patient to the multi- disciplinary medical practice where I worked. Over the years I've watched Mr Ahlers fight For, and win, the majority of the hearings for his clients and our patients. He is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and empathetic to those he represents. His staff, and more importantly Ed, go above and beyond in making certain that they have everything necessary to fight denials or get patients the necessary treatments or financial support they need from the BWC, personal injury, and social security disability. As a client on two separate occasions Ed made the processes easy and eased my fears and concerns. The 1st time was over an extended warranty on my vehicle. The insurance company denied our claim for services when our motor blew stating we did not follow the guidelines set forth in our contract. I got all the necessary documents and notes regarding the situation to Ed and in an extremely short period of time they overturned their denial and we received the appropriate compensation for the repairs.
Over the past 6 years I've experienced numerous disabling conditions involving my low back, neck and most recently my hip. I worked for my pain management physician, have undergone numerous surgical procedures, and did many injections, physical therapy treatments, chiropractic treatment and massage therapy to no avail. My conditions continued to worsen. My employer made an extensive amount of accommodation for me as I want to work but eventually the pain got too extreme and I was regularly missing work, going in late or leaving early. Making the decision to file for Social Security disability was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever made. Ed made sure that all the necessary documents, expert proof from my physicians, personal references from friends, colleagues, and former employers was received and supportive of my claim. Being a mother of 5 children this was a very stressful period for me and my family as I've always been the primary income as I have a degree in business management. Ed was always confident my case would be resolved in my favor. He walked me through the parts of the process I didn't have much knowledge in and reassured me when my fears would overwhelm me as he is well aware I can no longer be employed. He, and his great staff, took care of everything they needed to and let me know what I needed to take care of in plenty of time since he understands chronic pain interferes with every aspect of a person's life including timely completing tasks as simple as making sure the reference letters are complete and turned in prior to the hearing date and any additional documents from medical providers are completed or additional diagnostic tests ordered get performed. Many times with chronic medical conditions and pain remembering to do the simplest tasks (making phone calls, emailing references to get letters, getting diagnostic tests completed) are difficult as the pain attempts to take all Energy and attention due to the severity. When it came time for my hearing I was extremely anxious about it and Ed once again reassured me that everything would be ok and I have the medical conditions and supportive testimony to meet the SSDI requirements. He met me prior to my hearing to call my fears and go over the process again, calmed my fears and let me know to be myself and answer the judges questions as completely and honestly as possible. A month later I received my letter stating the decision was made in my favor. The process still wasn't complete and Ed stayed in regular contact with me regarding the next steps and getting my back pay, Medicare and the additional payments for my minor children. In a professional and personal situation I'd refer to Ed as I've seen his results. Thanks
