I deeply regret having to write a bad review. I am a man who will still give a $10 tip when receiving bad service while out to eat. This is something that has to be spoken of. My girlfriend hired Courtney for her services regarding visitation to her child. She was given a $1500 retainer fee. Before filing visitation documents, my girlfriend was served papers for her daughter to be adopted. Courtney would NOT take the adoption case, she stated "They are not the same case." (Same child same mother) I will not rant to long, because I could write a documentary about the poor services my girlfriend received. Not one time did Courtney ever show up in the same courtroom with the client that hired her. The Affidavit that was created by her was a joke, it looked as if a child had wrote it. Very poor professionalism, very disappointed about the law practicing services. Since Courtney never done anything for my girlfriends case, she asked for a refund. Courtney charged nearly a thousand dollars for services she did not provide.
I. There was moments where Courtney questioned representing my girlfriend because she knew the other attorney on the case.
II. Courtney suggested things for my girlfriend to do, which made her look foolish and dull-witted inside the courtroom.
III. Did not send detailed billing statement (by law she is required too)
IV. Never showed up to court for her
V. Nearly one thousand dollars for an underwritten affidavit.

Very poor services.

She was recommended to me by more than one person. They talked very highly of her. I called when I was going through a divorce almost two years ago and was told to email her. I thought why have a receptionist if they aren't going to set up appointments or do anything. I was once again recommended to use her. I thought I'd give her another shot. Once again I was told to email her my situation and she'd get back to me. It took her several days to return my email. I immediately returned hers and I'm still waiting on a response.

I recently read great reviews about this law office and was looking forward to calling for a consultation and possibly hiring their services. I called and the receptionist asked "what kind of case". I briefly explained and she brashly responded "we cant help you" and hung up on me as I was asking if she could help point me in the correct direction.

I was really dumbfounded and taken aback considering all of the nice reviews especially about Mrs. Howell. I called back only for her to answer with a rude "Yes" and I let the receptionist know that her actions were a representation of the office and she really brought it down greatly. I wish that I could give more than just 5 stars. Courtney is an amazing attorney and worked so hard to get my case resolved. She is a very kind and hard-working person and whenever I had a question, she responded right away. Courtney always had my back and never tried to talk me into settling; she always made sure to relay to the other attorney exactly what my offer was. If I ever have another legal issue, I will forever refer Courtney. Additionally, she helped my grandmother and grandfather a few months ago. My grandfather is a mailman and was bitten by a dog when delivering mail. The owners would not turn the dog over or tell my grandfather where the dog was to have him assessed for rabies. Before my grandfather had to have the horrible shots for rabies, Courtney helped reach out to the owners and persuaded them to have the dog assessed. She did such an amazing job and kept this from getting any uglier than it could have. Courtney is friendly, respectful, and very fair!
