When I received a call back to discuss my needs, I was met with rushed conversation and being cut off mid-sentence. He stated that I sounded like a "middle aged white woman with no disabilities" so there was nothing that he could do. I did not even get to bring up the fact that I had been harassed in the workplace. I personally felt discriminated against due to the fact that I was not a minority or had an affiliation that would have been an easy case to win. Very rude interaction.

Ed Blake and Blake Law Group handled a tenant default problem we had with exceptional skill and expertise. We had a commercial tenant who breached his lease. The tenant was a local representative of a nationally known insurance company. After a lawsuit was filed expeditiously for us in court and the defendant served with process, we received a settlement out of court, that was more than we would have received than if we went to court. Wonderful lawyer, super law firm and fantastic results, with an extremely reasonable fee given the fabulous benefit we received. It was a great experience all around!

Beware..... I've written the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of IL, to file a complaint/investigation against this firm. Their practices of typing letters to reply to emails to confirm receipt, then billing you billable hours is atrocious. Was assured he could help us with Living Trust and delivered nothing in his own timeline. Had the audacity to bill us $1900+ for typing letters saying they received our emails. Not a technology savvy firm.

I wouldn't recommend this firm to anyone!

When I was divorced originally from my wife i had another attorney. I felt as though he did not justify my needs or wants, he would not return my phone calls. There has been problems since my divorce that has caused an undo amount of stress. We looked for another attorney. We found Jennifer Behme. I can say i was sceptical having another attorney. But Jennifer changed all of that. I am so grateful for her and her contact with me. She is truly a God send. I cannot thank her enough for the hard work and time she put into my case. Horrible. I feel like I hired a bunch of vampires. They don’t have paralegals so they charge you for every little possible thing. They get very little work done but make it seem like they have a csi team working. Using a findpeople webpage that took 5 minutes to track someone but made it seem like they spent diligent hours searching. They also billed me for billing me. They are useless and I regret ever walking in that door. I paid them 2k so far and it still hasn’t gone anywhere. They tried to make me pay a second retainer fee 6 months later as well. My case is open and shut and the evidence speaks for itself. Idk how much work there really is to do. Stay away from them! And don’t get blinded by reviews written by themselves.

I feel like the Blake Law Group pulled a bait and switch on me. I originally retained Jennifer Behme, whom seemed very knowledgeable, then was assigned Megan Gilberth without explanation. Megan Gilberth has absolutely no business practicing family law. She is not knowledgeable on the subject. I hired the Blake Law Group to represent me to get arrears removed and obtain a modification of my support order. I found more information on my case on Google then I did from her. She does not respond to emails, calls, or voicemails. I only met with her a few weeks before going to court, she didn’t remember meeting me before while in court. The results in court were laughable. I am now in worse shape than before hiring the Blake Law Group. Ms. Gilberth refused to fight for me. I already felt like a caged animal because of a narcissistic ex-wife that has manipulated me and my children. Now I’m in debt to a horrible attorney with a resolution that I could have been had without any representation. She knew the history of the judge we were to argue my case in front of but failed to tell me that most of my evidence would not be admissible. The whole case could have been over for the $500 retainer. $10,000 later and I am worse off than before. After complaining about Megan’s service to the managing partner, Edward Blake, they firm withdrew from my case.

He knows tons about real estate and farms. He explained in laymen’s terms the intricacies of investing in land, including agricultural ground, and leases between landlords and tenant farmers and how to finance farmland purchases.

This the worst service I've ever received from an attorney. They do NOT email or call you back until 2 weeks later. They charged me $1.2k to write 2 letters. They were supposed to help me get my name of a loan I co-signed. They did nothing but write two letters and kept charging me for doing nothing. Now I'm worse off then when I started.
